Roleplaying

I actively role-play in the AOL Member's Chat rooms. It's what I enjoy the most and its a great way of relaxing and meeting creative people. When people ask me what role-playing is, I say tell them to think of it as Improv theater but online. Its a collection of different people from all parts of the US and beyond who comes together and make up a world to play with. I currently play with a group of people which our characters are living during the 17th century and we do our best to keep in that time frame. It's tons of fun for anyone who has an imagination!

Ginavere LeFleur- My first role-playing character and the one I enjoy playing the most. I've been role-playing Gina for about 10 years now and she has developed to a wonderful character. She is sweet, compassionate and loyal, and devote to her family and friends. But she also has a nasty temper and isn't afraid of showing it! I guess you can say Gina and I are very similar!

Isabella Lena Vargas- My favorite Spanish pirate, she is a sassy woman with a sharp tongue! She loves to start trouble wherever she goes and isn't afraid of anyone! In fact when she walks into a room, you can see how other characters cringe at her sight and wonders who will be the victim of the night. I started role-playing Lena in 1999 and she is just a great character to play when I am feeling wicked!

Vastale- The world which Gina and occasionally Lena, plays in. The people who play in this world of make-believe are very creative with the best imagination I have seen in all my years of role-playing on AOL. They are all adults who enjoy role-playing as a mean of relaxing and escaping the mundane world for a few hours each day.

My Role-playing Partners and Friends

Lauren

Lauren is someone I met online when I started role-playing a pirate. We instantly got along and have been great friends since then and our characters just play together so well. I believe Lauren and I have been friends about 6+ years and we had the pleasure of meeting and spending some time together. We were able not only to meet in person but also were able to meet each other families. Lauren's parents are great people with a wonderful sense of humor, there is no doubt in my mind where Lauren got her funny bone from! Lauren is now currently living in San Diego and with me living in the San Francisco Bay Area we plan on spending some more time together. I can't wait! Lauren is a lawyer and is presently studying to take the California Bar Exam, I know she will pass this Bar Exam without a problem (so quit worrying about it Lauren), she all ready pass the PA Bar Exam and she did it the first time around! Lauren also was a professional ballerina but had to give it up when she hurt her knee. This is one very talented, witty and funny woman. Currently, Lauren isn't role-playing since she is studying for the Exam but has plans on returning once she has taken it and has the time to role-play again. You're the greatest Sistahmun! Love ya!

Melissa and Scott

There is a great married couple I met online. Melissa and Scott. Melissa (who plays Juliet and other characters) and I have a great time role-playing. She is very creative and so funny that she has me laughing so hard that I cry! Melissa has a web site I thought you might like to look at. Scott also role-plays online (Michael and other characters). In fact he is the leader(-=snickers=-He hates being called that!) of the Vastale group. Role-playing with Scott, I learned so much and continue to learn more by watching him. His character, Michael is great fun to role-play with and Michael always keeps Gina on her toes and me trying to figure out his next move! Just like his wife Melissa, he always have me laughing out loud.

Both Melissa and Scott are wonderful friends to me and I hope to one day meet them in person.

Jenn

Jenny has several characters which she plays. One is a healer Basi, who is very sweet and pretty much even tempered. Annie, the pirate, is pretty strong headed and gets along with Gina very well. Perhaps its the women's background in the pirating world that has bonded their friendship. Jenn never cease to amaze me when she role-plays. She can role-play multiply characters at one time! Jenn, like Melissa and Scott always has me laughing. She is a great young lady and gentlemen a great catch! -=winks and nudges the available men out there=- Here is a link to Jenn's web page. KC

KC, I know about 7+ years now. KC is not only a wonderful friend but great husband to his wife and father to three beautiful children. He taught me about role-playing a pirate...AGRRRRRR! And wouldn't give up on me when I found it something to hard to understand. We role-played together as partners for 5 years when we parted ways. Thanks KC for your friendship!

Charlie

Then there is Charlie (real name is Charlotte but you didn't hear that from me!) who I know for about 7+ years and is a great friend. Charlie also taught me a lot about role-playing when I first started. She was and still is always there to offer a suggestion on a certain way to move one of my girls through a scene. She is funny, smart and our characters get along so well. -=waves to Charlie=- Hola Amiga!

Jeff

Jeff, who I know for about 5+ years, is married with two children. Not only does he role-plays online but runs a gaming group at his home along with his wife Deb. Jeff is also very funny man and loves to role-play the bad guys. And BOY does it role-play a bad guy well, so well I want to kill his bad guys! He's a great lovable guy when his characters aren't trying to kill yours! Hey Jeff, can I bring some male strippers to your 40th birthday party? LOL Just KIDDING!! -=whispers=- Not!

A few others I must mention is Dave (Quentin), Deb (Granny) and Bethany (Ellie). I met them when the Vastale group was form. Needless to say they are fun to play and chat with. Dave and Deb are married but don't Role-play at the same time and Bethany plays when her schedule allows her to. The list goes on and on but I wanted you to know about a few of them that I truly can say are my friends.
