Under the Start-menu, choose Settings.

Under this menu there are three pages, Personal,
System and Connections. Choose Connections.

Now there are a number of icons to choose and
the one to click is Connections.

On the page that is displayed on the screen there
are three curtain menus. We want to modify the Internet Settings
in the top menu.

Choose New
and give the connection an appropriate
name. i.e."GSM web access".
Choose the modem Gismo Data and a Baud Rate of 38400 or whatever
rate your operator uses.

Click on the Advanced button: There are the three
pages available to change here.

Remove Country Code and Area code and write the modem
pool Phone number and click Next. |

Make sure that the Cancel if not connected
within 120 seconds-box is checked and that the other (Wait
for
) box is unchecked. No extra dial-string commands are
necessary |

Now the iPAQ is set up to access the web through a GSM modem pool.
If you also have a GPRS connection set up you have to make sure you
use the connection intended when you connect. The Pocket PC OS sets
the last used connection as default and it will be used if the web is
accessed by clicking the Internet Explorer icon. If it is desired to
use the other connection you need to enter the connections menu by following
step 1-4 above. Then click and hold on the desired connection option
and choose connect on the pop-up menu. Once you receive the message
that you are connected, choose the Internet Explorer and enter the web.
