an ode to no one/site info/

My very first attempt at a website was when bolt.com had websites. My website was called "dead end doll," and it the general theme was Self Injury. I used the crappy tripod editor.

My second attempt at a website was on gurl.com, and I used the crappy editor they had there as well. That one was also called "dead end doll."

My third attempt was on Geocities. I used the Page Builder option since I was still a first timer to HTML. It didn't turn out the way I would have liked it to.

My fourth attempt was on Angelfire. I took the liberty of learning a few HTML codes and such, and changed the name to "an ode to no one," after one of my favourite songs by The Smashing Pumpkins. It was a joint website done with my sister. The shared site was called Gunshot Glitter. She had her section and I had my section. I thought I took a screencap of my section but I guess I lost it.

After Angelfire decided to crap up all their websites with god awful ads, I moved to Geocities. Since I have a Mac, the ads don't show up on my computer. The first design was based on a picture I took of an old car we had. After that, it was a stick person layout, but that didn't last too long since I had forgotten that I had a site for awhile.

I've learned so much about HTML since I first started a few years ago. There's still so much to learn though. I don't think I'll ever understand FTP and all that. I'll stick with the HTML since for now, that's all I know.

The current theme is kind of sepia-something. Inspired obviously by Sepia by Manic Street Preachers. The background comes from Purple Glitter.
