GLAM is a non profit group and was founded in August 1993 as a support/social group for queer Asians (gay, lesbian and bisexual) living in Montreal. Our mission is to help queer Asians in Montreal understand and deal with their sexuality by listening and sharing personal experiences.

Queer Asians, whether they are born in Canada or not, struggle with unique problems, such as the collision between our parental values and those of North American society. Responsibility to the family also often restricts queer Asians from leading full lives. Many particular needs of queer Asians are not being met by neither the queer or Asian communities. With the formation of GLAM, we tackle these issues on our own, for the betterment of ourselves and our peers.
