QPIRG-Concordia:
UPCOMING WORKSHOPS: Deaf culture, Grassroots fundraising, Quark XPress poster-making

Want to make changes in your communities? Wishing you had more skills to make it happen? Want to get involved in issues of justice and social change? Don't know where to start?

The Tools For Change Workshop Series is a series of FREE, skill- and knowledge-building workshops providing people with practical skills and information so we can be more effective in our struggles for change.

There is no experience necessary to participate. This series is designed to provide skills, education, and support for those wanting to get involved, as well as for those who want to further develop particular skills. Workshops are hands-on, with lots of time to interact and network with other participants.

Philosophy and Accessibility: Tools for Change was developed in response to the expressed needs of local activists, and strives to be accessible to all interested in working towards social change. Free CHILDCARE and ASL INTERPRETATION are available during each of the workshops (min 48 hrs registration). All spaces are accessible by elevator (with no stairs) and have a minimum of 30 inch doorways. We regret that the QPIRG office does not have a wheelchair accessible washroom at present. Free SNACKS and BUS TICKETS also available. Please avoid wearing perfumes or other scented products.

If you have an issue or a skill that you would like to explore further, please let us know. As well, we are continually looking for individuals who can facilitate workshops and speak on various activist issues. Maybe that's you, or maybe you can suggest someone!
