Only 18 miles South of Glasgow in Galston. This park is home to the Wild Mouse, the only wooden rollercoaster in Scotland. Also a viking ship and Britain's biggest carousel. Smaller children will enjoy Rory's Farmyard and exploring the museum.

M & D's Theme Park, 01698 333999

Set in Strathclyde Park in Motherwell, this theme park is full of thrills and spills. it has over 40 major rides and fun attractions, free parking and free entry. Ride the Tornado rollercoaster if you are feeling brave. If not, there are lots of other rides to choose from. It has a soft play area called the Coca-Cola Fun Factory for smaller children plus an indoor arcade.
