A bit about Myself

Hi my name is John Deathridge and I live in Corby, Northamptonshire England and as you can see from the paintings I am an artist.

I enjoy painting most subjects but prefer older scenes.

I paint in many different medias including oil, water, acrylic and pastel. I have been painting since 1990 but have enjoyed it for many more years than I would like to remember.

Of course it wasn't easy in the start, so I went to night school for approximately four years to hone my skills. While at night school I was given the confidence and inspiration to be able to paint what I wanted and how I wanted to, which is not as easy as it may sound.

I have recently held my second exhibition at the local library, which the picture above was taken at, and was a total success, as was the first one, and I look forward to completing more paintings so I may hold a third sometime in the future.
