Keyboard player Dizzy Reed was born in Cleveland, Ohio. He came to the world on June 18, 1963. His real name is Darren Reed. He came to Guns N' Roses during the spring of 1990, not to replace anyone, just to develop and give the band a new and "stronger" sound. Before he joined them, he had been a friend to the band for a long time.
Actually, Dizzy was broke and out of work until Axl called him up and invited him into the band so he could make some money to pay his rent. Except from the GN'R albums, Dizzy also appeared on Gilby's solo album "Pawn Shop Guitars" and on Slash's Snakepit's "It's Five O'Clock Somewhere".
Dizzy is the only surving GN'R member that is currently in GN'R with Axl working on the new GN'R album "Chinese Democracy".
