The Nature of AccidentsWriter's Comment: [Several times the statement has been made that accidents are more in the nature of allowed events. I would like a more detailed explanation of the true nature of these events, in physical terms at least, as accidents. Relative to this subject, one of the most difficult situations in physical life to understand and accept is the premature death of a baby or child. You mentioned once that the preparation of schools and material for development of those who experience a premature death on earth is a task performed by certain personalities who act as teachers. Could you explain how a child develops following death?] (Granger): First let us make a personal comment, then we will answer the request. This Easter Sunday morning we will begin to communicate in a slightly different style from the past, in that we will be able to send the message directly to you without the need to step-down the vibration (frequency) to a lower level. This change is possible because your mind is now tuned into, and open to, the higher vibration. The choice is made from your own will. We do not interfere with the well being of your mind in any way. This is an accomplishment to be desired. You should never in any way abuse the privilege of tuning into this higher vibration. We note the long-standing symbol of a psychic cross in your mind, where the vertical is psychic energy being received, and the horizontal symbolises the giving out of information and energy. This could be considered a gift from your own High-soul as you work in earth elements of life. Do not think we are changing the set-up. Your own psychic nature has created the change. We welcome the opportunity to communicate in this way. It is so much easier for us. The question for today leads into much new and interesting material. We will start by answering the question on the concept called "accidents" first. The situation in which an accident occurs may be available to the psychic mind in advance of the physical occurrence. How often has someone had a premonition or feeling of an impending accident? Why this pre-awareness of something about to happen? The material we will present on parallel activities in the psychic planes of living will explain how various probable events keep running along in parallel. It will explain how the will (of the mind) chooses, through freedom of choice, which pathway or activity-path to follow. This is the normal, day by day, hour by hour, activity of the free mind, functioning along its normal everyday path of life. Nothing unusual here. ["Parallel time" and "probable events" is explained under section, Time Concepts and Psychic Laws - Please see Code Name "Psychic"] Some series of events from one or more other pathways, or out of an activity-path of nature in its normal processes, may intersect with those activities of the individual. We may have an intersection of these activities in some situation that will result in a whole new set of situations. The psychic mind of each human being may be aware of what this potential intersection is to be and when it will happen. The psychic mind of the individual has the awareness, and also the power of its own will, to avoid the situation, called an accident, if it chooses to do so. In fact, many, many "accidents" in the psychic world never happen in the physical world, just because the psychic mind chose to avoid the situation. Be aware that the psychic mind of any person, old or young, does not allow the physical body to go blundering into all sorts of situations out of control. Helter-skelter would be the result of the withdrawal of control and protection from the psyche, the personal psychic mind. The question is, why does the psyche allow some events, or accidents, to happen while avoiding others? There is no one pat answer, but we can give some useful clues. There are any number of reasons why an accident may be permitted to happen. Some accidents are a real learning situation for the personality. The soul has assigned certain responsibilities and areas of experience to be entered into by the psychic personality, while living through the physical body and brain in the earth. The psychic mind is free to work out this experience in many ways. It may choose to make use of a situation, such as an accident or disease, to gain that experience. The mind will, in that situation, allow the event or accident to occur, and will participate in the experience to gain knowledge, wisdom, experience, and expanded awareness. There are other reasons why an accident may be permitted. It may be simply that the brain, the mind, and the will of the individual are getting out of step with each other. They may not be working in harmony. Whenever you see anyone who is, as they say, "accident prone", you may assume that the mind and the brain are not working well together. The pattern of accidents can be changed sometimes simply by some relaxed, reflective thinking on the part of that individual, bringing the elements of the mind, the will, and the emotions, all back into line. "Discipline" is not the word needed here. Harmony of the will is what needs to be understood. We think there may be other reasons for accidents of a more serious nature where real professional assistance is required. Whenever a deep-seated persecution complex is present in the deeper mind, the result may be worked out in accidents or a whole series of diseases, or some combination of the two. We do not suggest that everyone who has an accident or two should start looking for a psychiatrist, but a complex is a possible source of accidents. Other sources of accidents are found in areas of deep guilt, or a deep seated need to punish oneself. Do not misunderstand, the justification for punishment may not be real at all. In fact, this is usually a pretty innocent type of personality; it is the feeling, "I am guilty; I deserve to be punished", that causes the accident. With one more example of a cause of accidents, we think the reader will be getting the background picture. When teenagers start to drive Dad's car, everyone says, "For God's sake be careful! Don't have an accident! Don't take your eyes off the road; don't think about anything but your driving; keep your mind on what you are doing. If you have an accident your father will kill you!" Now do you or do you not think that boy or girl is likely to have an accident? Of course he or she will have an accident. How in God's good name can they possibly avoid an accident? They have just been programmed ...brainwashed into having an accident. There is almost no way of them avoiding an accident. You see what happens: the thing we fear the most almost always occurs, one way or another. The mind becomes programmed with great energy, fear, and concern: "Am I or am I not going to do this thing?" Rest assured you will do it. We need to add here that the very same sort of energy pattern makes and keeps many people sick. Imagine when you are sick and thinking about getting well, until some dear soul comes to see you and says, "Oh! My God! Don't you look awful! Why dear, you look like hell! What you must be going through! I feel so sorry for you. Now dear, get well soon; we'll be thinking about you." What chance does that person, who may have been well on the way to health, have of getting better now? They have just been handed a cup of psychic poison. How can they overcome this negative energy that some dear friend has given them? If you want to visit someone who is sick or had an accident, very well, but at least give them some positive energy to work with in the process of recovery. From these little illustrations, you see the power of negative energy and how it reinforces accidents and sickness. Negative thinking, guilt feelings, I "deserve" to have an accident, these cause many accidents. The power of suggestion, especially when presented from someone in authority, such as a parent, or doctor, or clergyman, can be a terrifying source of negative energy that will, almost without fail, cause an accident for many people who are subject to suggestion. We feel that we have given you background material to use and apply in practical ways to cope with the idea of accidents. Accidents do happen, but many are unnecessary, and with more positive thinking many could be avoided. One final comment: not all accidents are to be avoided; sometimes much benefit, and learning, and wisdom comes out of an experience called an accident. |
