The Letters of Stephen: Letter Number Two

(Granger for Stephen): In the beginning man began to understand something of the nature of his spiritual being, his higher consciousness, and his sense of being of a different lineage than that of the life around him. ...We are jumping over vast periods of time, to when the mind of the spirit was able to encounter the highly developed brain of the physical animal-man. Man took millions of your earth-years to develop a brain to the point where he could reflect, reason, remember and, out of the memory, project into the future. At this point in the breadbasket of time,the mind of the spiritual personality began to encounter the physical brain in the man-animal in the physical earth. If you think of locating a point in a breadbasket, you will get the idea of the vast periods of time in which we are trying to locate a point. The spiritual mind would, and could, at times enter directly the thought-patterns of the brain through a psychic linkage in the glandular system of the human body. The body of man is the temple of the spirit and should be so regarded and treated through the life-span in the earth. Today man with great pride, and rightly so, discusses the achievement of link-ups of satellites in space. However, the link-up of the spiritual mind of the personality of the soul with the brain of the animal-man, developed through the ages of the earth, was a much greater link-up in significance to the development of the earth-man. Without this link-up of the physical brain with the spiritual mind, man in the earth could never have been more than a highly developed animal.

Now then, we have a spiritually minded man who begins to enter the arena of life on earth. We should be careful to point out that there is no member of the human race, no member of mankind in the recorded history of the human race, that is not of a spiritually minded nature and being. Mankind in total, all people in the earth ...everywhere, are spiritually-minded personalities living in a physical body.

Man inherits the lineage of the physical development of the earth-animal, with the memories of this development carried in the cells of the human body. Man is also the spiritual, mental, and psychic body of a personality sent out from the soul to live out a life in the presence of the human mind and body on earth. And now, let us look at the reasons for this arrangement and examine some of the less obvious parameters of the life mankind encounters in the journey through physical time and space.

Once the mind of the spirit had established the pattern of life in the human brain the pattern was cast, if you like to call it that, in the mind or will of consciousness, and thus was as though entered as a universal law. This is not an unusual occurrence in the laws of consciousness. Patterns become established or cast as a way of being. The mind-of-man now has real meaning as versus the brain of an animal. Man was no longer a physical being only; he was at the same time a spiritual personality, complete with the spiritual mind as well as a spiritual or psychic body. Do not confuse the psychic body of man with the aura or energy-pattern of the physical body. All physical life gives off its own patterns of energy referred to as the aura. The spiritual or psychic body, however, remains after physical death and is the natural vehicle of the mind and spirit.

Once you clearly understand the nature and reality of man's spiritual body and mind you begin to develop a baseline for the clearer comprehension of other psychic and spiritual beings, such as we of The Auroral People. In essence we, The Auroral People, are of similar nature to that of the human psychic body and mind. Certainly we are related closely enough that we communicate very easily with those of your "dearly departed."

Your concept of physical death in the earth leaves something to be desired. Here I, Stephen, am writing with ease and full awareness through the vital and lively mind of the one referred to as Granger, who departed your life scene of the earth some time ago. He is as real, as alive, as vital, as aware, and I might add, much more active than most who remain on earth in the physical state. Now this statement is not to be taken as any putting down of life in the earth. We commend to you the living out of your physical life with all the energy and vitality at your command. Live it to the very best of your ability; live so that you can look back and say, "I gave it my very best shot." ...And rest assured, you will look back, with full and total awareness, with vitality and purpose, with some joys and with some regrets, you will look back. We want to help you increase the joys and minimize the regrets. That is the purpose of our efforts.

Let us describe for you the nature and appearance of the other personality-forms you will observe as you step, ever so graciously I trust, out of your physical and into your spiritual awareness.

Having greeted all of your friends and loved ones who are present for the occasion of your arrival in the new world (new to you) of the spirit, you may wish to look around first to reassure yourself that the enemies you created in the earth are being held at bay. Next, you may want to see what other strange and wondrous creatures of consciousness may be observed from the hills and dales of the world of the spirit. On such an occasion you may wonder if that personality called by the name of Stephen, of The Auroral People, and his friends do truly exist ...or were they just a creation of a quirky earth-mind? Well, dear heart, we will do our best to be present, and to return the greeting, and to give you reassurance. Look for one who is of much smaller stature than the earth-body of man; look for one who wears many hues and colours of apparel; look for one who is older than your time on earth ...but younger than your last sunrise; look for one who plays the flute ...but observes the revelations of life in its inner meaning; look for one who dances in the sunshine of life's golden energy ...but relaxes in the coolness of the morning dew. Above all, look for one who greets you with a great sparkle of welcome, who holds you in high regard, and who will walk with you to the ends of time,. When you have seen that one, and many more, you wll1 have seen, and been greeted by the folk of The Auroral People. We hold you in high esteem; we trust that you will hold yourself, with all those you meet, likewise.
