The Letters of Stephen: Letter Number Four

(Granger for Stephen): We need to spend some time to describe the nature and purpose of other forms of intelligent life in the universal regions of being. We will limit these descriptions to those forms of life that relate in some way to Earth.

The High-soul is capable of creating other forms of beings that would not be referred to in your terms or mine as personalities. They do not include the characteristics you would consider essential to personality, such as self- awareness, unique freedom of choice, ability to relate freely to surrounding life, et cetera. These forms of life are more of the nature of robots, or your earth dream of the ideal computer-man. They are spirit entities in that they are programmed or directed to do certain tasks. Certainly they are not of the nature of earth animals, in that they do not respond to the emotions or conditions surrounding them. They simply carry out the tasks to which they are assigned. I suppose we need a name for them, since everything in the physical world must be named. We would refer to them simply as "The Beings" unless you choose some better name. Now, The Beings are as much a part of the High-soul as any personality. They are created by and sent out from the soul into certain dimensions of life to discover, record, and report back to the mind of the soul that which they observe, or of which they become aware. They are permitted to perform certain tasks that relate to their assignments.

Let us assume a situation which might give cause for a High-soul to send a Being out into some dimension of consciousness. Suppose the soul had need to better understand the nature of consciousness in the vast empty regions of outer space; the soul desires to experience the sense of being in that particular condition of the physical universe. The soul would not send any self-aware, vital personality, created to grow and develop, into such an environment. A Being is, therefore, created and sent into that dimension. The Being is not a physical being; it is psychic in nature, capable of observing, noting and sending into the mind of the soul, all the conditions that the soul itself would experience in that area of physical space.

The soul may desire to experience life in certain dimensions of life that are normally not entered into by any of the personalities out of the soul-entity. These dimensions are inhabited by very real personalities, however, out of higher consciousness, but they relate only very remotely to any experience in the physical universe. The soul may choose to locate a Being in this dimension to observe and record and provide feedback awareness from there. Much as the mind of Homo sapiens receives sensations and information from various elements of sensing from the physical system of the body, so does the Higher-soul, out of which the human personality is created, send out these various Beings into various dimensions and depths of consciousness to receive information. We, The Auroral People, see no relationship between the Beings of the High-soul and the life and awareness of a personality in the physical earth. We simply record the existence of the elements of the very complex High-soul for your awareness. Possibly these Beings in some way enter into certain aspects of physical consciousness, but in no way of which we The Auroral People are aware, do they relate to human consciousness.

We should give you some information relative to other personalities, or high beings, in the realm of life associated with the physical universe. These are very high beings; if you wish a name, we could refer to them as "Super-souls". They are not the direct parentage out of which the High-souls of man, that we have just been discussing, descend. High-souls descend through another lineage of consciousness. These Super-souls have very specific functions or areas of being for which they have responsibility. They, of course, descend out of the same order of Higher Consciousness ...The Source of All Being. If you were to search for a concept relative in some small way to the nature and role of these Super-souls, the closest might be the ideas associated with the Angel Gabriel and, possibly, some of the ancient Greek gods.

There was some real sense of reality in those old beliefs. Certainly they made much better sense than the more modern and cleverly developed ideas surrounding "God is Dead" sort of thinking that has been so popular in recent years in the earth. To look out at the vast, incomprehensible complex of conscious life in the cosmic universe and then to look at the thought-patterns of modern. educated men and women of the earth as they so cleverly. through fine- line logic, come to conclusions such as that there is no life but man, there is no God but Caesar, there is no Control and no Cause in the entire state of being. All life developed through a clever combination of elements and light in the earth's environment. This very closed-minded logic must give way.

Man, at his best in logic, sometimes presents the picture of a small child being burned in the sun and wondering why the burn is occurring. It might not occur to the mind of the child to think that the energy is coming from a source some ninety millions of miles away. Man is the recipient of vast benefits from sources he continually, consciously, and deliberately insists do not exist. They do not exist. he reasons. because he cannot identify and measure them with his equipment and his logic. Man is no more equipped ,to measure and identify the higher sources of life than the little child is equipped to comprehend the nature and location of the Sun.

Having said all of that for the benefit of man's humility (which has its place in the scheme of things) it is true that some of man's oldest concepts have some brilliant sense of awareness of-the true nature of being contained within the seed-thought. Only when man became more sophisticated and began to develop laws, creeds and dogmas, only then did his seed-thoughts get cast into a dead-end.

Keep the mind open, keep it free to wonder ...and to wander, let it fly, let it soar, let it be free. Only then, sit down and examine the ideas, explore the star-dust, look for the new nuggets, watch for the rare flower, keep an eye open for the mermaid from the sea, or an unknown feather from some never before seen bird. Believe me, the mind that is so dull that it believes no longer in the unknown, the unexplored, and the freshness of new creation, is a mind that is dead. A closed mind is like a rock cast in concrete. Reality is so vast that the human mind, and that of The Auroral People, cannot truly comprehend it. Certainly this is an area of life where the human minds of earth have performed miraculously well in comprehending the vast distance and complexities of existence with a beautifully open mind (after killing off a few hundred for thinking out loud before their time). But to sit under a tree and truly grasp regions of space, just in terms of the physical alone, is inconceivable. The mind cannot comprehend that which it knows to exist.

Let us move back now. Why the physical universe at all? Why the little solar system that putt, putt, putts along in its own little corner? Why Little Old Mother Earth, down here in this little spot, this little speck in this small corner of the universe? And why does it contain all these funny little beings that keep multiplying and spreading around its surface, pushing and shoving at each other, crying, laughing, making laws, breaking laws, even making gods and breaking gods at their own will? Why all this activity in a physical dimension at all? Why should any conscious, aware, infinite source of being want to allow or bring all this about in the first place? Well the answer is that we, The Auroral People, do not know the answer any more than you of the physical earth know the answer. Should we be told the answer we, in all probability, could not comprehend it. And the people of the physical earth would probably not comprehend either, but if they perform to pattern someone would form a new religion and create some more laws and dogmas, some more decrees, and some more creeds.

However, it may be that we can contribute something to your awareness by presenting to you what we believe to be reasons for the realities of the vast physical universe. Tomorrow, in Letter Number Five, we will present that which we believe. You are, of course, under no obligation to accept or not to accept. It is our belief, which we present to you with our good graces. For those who can accept it, may it be your blessing. For those who do not accept it, may you find the answer to that which you seek of your own free and open mind and will. Yes, ...Very well, we are about to conclude this series of letters. At the conclusion of the letters I, Stephen, will have completed my little assignment and I want to express my appreciation for this opportunity to present my concepts and concerns to the people of the earth, with whom I have been associated unawares to them for many, many hundreds ...yea, thousands of years. So you see, it is a real pleasure to have had an open door through which I have been able to express my inner and complete thought-patterns without censorship or restriction. No one could have provided a better channel in which to communicate.

To all those who are able to receive this material with an open mind; to all those who will consider it a possible source of reality from beyond the human mind; and to all those who receive it with a completely closed mind; to all I give my blessing, my friendship, my desire for the best that can be had from your journey in the physical realm, and for all your long journeys in the times beyond the physical realm. Let not the sun descend from the heavens without your having made some effort, each day, to open the channels of your mind to something new. We of The Auroral People walk closely beside those who seek the new, who love the old, and who explore the height and depth of the unknown. Now let us proceed with our fifth and final letter.
