The Senate No. 5: Climbing The Spiral StaircaseThe Senate No. 5 (27/OCT/1984): There are some alternatives to a certain life-plan, but it is most beneficial if the person lives out a preferred pattern of experiences in the life on earth. We could discuss some of the points pertinent to your own lifetime in the earth. We could explain some things that have recurring patterns in your life. We note that you seem to repeat a cycle of going up into the inner details of some subject then you drop the interest and turn to another topic of interest. Your pattern follows a cycle of interests. That pattern is not inconsistent with your goals. It gives you a much wider range of material and experience than that gained by most personalities in the physical life. You could, however, benefit from the pattern of a spiral. Rather than following closed circles, why not let one experience lead into another with a continual upward thrust, so that you use past experiences more as you circle the spiral? How could you do that? Well, for instance, take your interest in writing. We believe you could benefit most from this experience simply because it could bring into focus all the thoughts, concepts, emotions, motivations, conflicts, social concepts, etc., that reside in your mind, as residue from past experiences. Don't be afraid to move ideas around and experiment with patterns of thought. You are at your best when you play easily with ideas. There are other ways you could apply the concept of the spiral staircase. You could benefit from being more deeply involved in your daily meditation and learn to build up the experiences in a constructive way. But you must make it your material. You must use your own concepts as they take shape in your mind. Take the ideas you receive and write them down. Memorize the idea, work with it, turn it around - what if I did this with this piece of an idea? |
