The Senate No. 7: Reality and Life Goals

The Senate No. 7 (10/NOV/1984): Today we should consider some fresh ideas about the nature of reality in terms that relate to our state of being as well as to yours.

We are quite aware of the nature of reality in the physical earth life. We have been there. There is no need to correct any particular concepts about the nature of that reality except to understand the need to focus the effort toward certain goals in each personal life. Each life could be said to be goal oriented. We believe better results will be achieved if goals - life goals - are understood, clarified and set in place. You have some pretty clear ideas about your goals and purposes. Many - most people have very little sense of goals or awareness of such.

We could help by stating that you could put more effort into personalizing and sharpening your focus. If you think of the camera in focus, that's the idea. Begin to think more about where you are and what you want to do - not so much about how as about where you want to arrive.

You will arrive where you select. The need is to believe in the reality of your objective - your target - your goal. You will soon realize that movement toward that goal is taking place.

There are, of course, many useful exercises. Visualizing is very important. The best exercise is to allow yourself to relax completely and grasp a clear picture in the mind of what condition you want. See yourself moving toward it and continue with the belief in what you are doing.

We could explain something of the nature of life - and reality - in this dimension of being. Here we recall all the experiences from the physical lifetime in detail - some [of it] painful - some with pleasure. Now, however, the experiences become more of a film, a roll of film from which we review and select certain ideas and experiences. From that, we select material with which we work in this dimension.

We have little or no concept of time here. [Time is real only in terms of events.] One personality here could experience ages of time while another experienced very little indeed. Time is paced here by experiences, accomplishments, development, and growth.
