The Universal Community and The Christ Spirit

(Lady Godiva continues through Granger): We need to turn now to an examination of the deeper elements of the community of spirit as it should apply in the earth. The Christ Spirit is a good concept of the community of spirit. This concept has been misunderstood very often, misdirected more often than not, and used as a means to gain power at other times. Allowing for all these errors and their resulting failures in the earth-community, the source of the spirit, and the intent of this spirit, is as close to the infallible as the mind of man in the earth is likely to come. The failures are the fallout from illuse, misuse, and ignorance. The failures are not because of any inherent flaws in the spirit. Let us examine the thrust, the intent, and the potential of the Christ Spirit in its rightful orientation.

The Christ Spirit, you must understand, is not unique or peculiar to the physical earth, nor to the physical universe for that matter. This is an all- pervasive force of spirit, directed by the high mind of The Source of Life. The Christ Spirit has been presented in many ways and at many times into the physical earth. Each time something of the spirit is captured by certain minds. However, each time other minds tend to try to capture the essence of this spirit, and surround it with so much paraphernalia of dogma that it becomes obscured, and often very much abused.

The human mind tends to localize the Christ Spirit in some ways to certain rituals, forms, creeds, prayers, and indeed, to certain persons who have, it is claimed, certain dispensations or orders of power in this spirit over other persons or masses. This is a misunderstanding of the intent, the thrust, and the purpose of the Christ Spirit. No one should attempt to enter the channel between any person and the Christ Spirit; any who do so do it at their own peril. Do not accept the assumed authority of anyone in any role or regalia who stands before the people to say, thus and so is what you must do to enter the Christ Spirit ...or to escape the penalty of not accepting. Those who would stand before the people to represent the Christ Spirit should do so with a very open hand. The spirit and thrust of such representation should be to examine the evidence, explore the concepts, point out the best ways, not to threaten as if speaking with divine authority; the very threat given out will return to the sender. Avoid the clenched fist that speaks with divine authority.

It is very difficult to present pure spiritual purpose and energy into the earth without losing the original intent. The spirit requires some form of capsule to carry the message; often this capsule is the personality of some chosen one who lives the life and carries the message in the earth. The objective is to start a "grass-fire" of the spiritual energy from The Source, with the intent for it to spread out through other personalities. Many will subconsciously recognize the nature of the Christ Spirit and follow through. Very often, however, almost always in fact, the spirit becomes locked up in some form of dogma and ritual or creed and the living energy is lost. The Christian church, in its many divisions and subdivisions of opinion, creed, dogma, and objectives, not to mention the objectives within the objectives, is a well recognized phenomenon within the earth. The high purpose of the source personality is very seldom understood by the members or adherents to this very day. Seldom does anyone grasp the concepts presented in the original spirit and intent of the source personality.

In our opinion (The Auroral People), the personality known as Jesus is, perhaps, the most misunderstood in all the earth. The words used with such specific authority today are not presented in the intent and content in which they were intended. Ours is not to criticize the various recordings and shades of meaning given to the words; we are concerned that the thrust of meaning and purpose and spirit behind the words be understood. Too often the legal, authoritative mind of the one who expostulates the concepts destroys the intent of the spirit. The love of The Spirit is not presented through a clenched fist nor an authoritative mind. Love is the essence of the intended message presented in the earth by the personality known as Jesus. The healing hands, the healing mind, the enlightened spirit, the harmony of life, the eternal and universal purpose of life: those were the elements of spirit intended. These are the essence of the intent and purpose of the Community of Spirit.

This level of awareness is above the level of self-awareness. The awareness of self is to be desired, but the awareness that self is a part of a community of The Source Self, that is the level to be desired and sought after. That awareness would fulfil the purpose of the spiritual intent of that high mind of the source of Christianity ...and of many religions in the earth today. Without this comprehension, world religions are no more than a valley of dry bones, left by the spirit to scorch in the deserts of logic, of decrees, and of dogmas.

The deep suspicion with which the human mind regards any possible other sources of intelligence is not conducive to harmony of spirit. The idea of evil, of evil spirits, and of unseen and hidden forces lurking just beyond the shadow of the human vision, has created many blockages and stumbling-blocks in the progress of human development.

There is no form of life anywhere that is alien to other life anywhere. I could tell you with all confidence this morning that the human mind at its violent extreme is the most frightening aspect of life anywhere in all of consciousness. There is no other mind, even in the extremes of the physical universe, that could come to the point where it could, for example, dump its own children into a hole and bury them alive, could burn its saints at the stake calling them witches, or would curse to His Face the very Christ Consciousness. We, The Auroral People, know of no other species, or aspects of being that could stand aside to watch millions of its own kind be killed by genocide, or starved from lack of food, while you have within easy reach the means to prevent these conditions. Believe me, the painful truth is that I have much more reason to fear you than you have to fear me, a source from the unknown.

The human mind, for whatever reason, insists on the depths of hell-fire and punishment for its wicked dead. No god, not to conceive of the God Mind, could provide more hell-fire and wretchedness than man invents through his own mind, and inflicts upon his children. It would be our deepest desire, while guests in your house, to invite the human mind to explore once again, with an open mind, the depths of the Mind of Consciousness. And we know of no better source than the origins of Christianity. We have no other spirit or open doorway. to offer. But it is essential to seek out, in the inner-mind of the person, that which is of the intent of the spirit. All are one, and each one is of the same high source.

The mind of man is very capable of taking its rightful place in the higher scheme of awareness. We are permitted to enter into the record, however, that the human mind at this time is being held-in or corralled within certain limits because of its tendency toward destructive forces and fear. The human mind is saturated with fear of the non-existent of the unknown. It prepares to lash out in retaliation against the unknown. The bogy-man of the superstitious savage has simply given way to the bogy-of-outer-space and of the unknown.

Why, for example, does modern man become obsessed with the ideas of "possession"? Millions rush out to see the latest of the bad movies on possession, or of weird beings from outer space about to engulf or zap-out life on earth. Do you see the close resemblance, the parallel with the savage who could fight off a lion with a club, but could not bring himself to explore the nature of some weird howling of the wind in a canyon beyond the next hill? Man's brain is outgrowing his emotional maturity and his comprehension of the high cathedrals of consciousness. The answer, believe me, will not come from some mysterious place in outer space. There is no greater space of mystery than in your own backyard. Nor is there any greater source of awareness than that available through the channels of your own inner mind: "Seek and you shall find."
