| 11. Vacation-because of my insistance that all my clients have backup babysitters available. I feel that I should be able to take two weeks vacation at my discretion. I will naturally give as much notice as possible, a minimum of two weeks. Also, please do try to give me at least two weeks notice when you won't be bringing your child. Or if your schedule will differ from normally. 12. Holidays-I will generally be closed the following holidays: New Years Day, Easter, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve (after 4 PM), Christmas, and New Year's Eve (after 4 PM). If a holiday falls on a Saturday or Sunday, I will be closed for the follwoing or previous day, you will be informed of which day that will be. If your child's usual day falls on a holiday, you will still owe for that day. If you need me to work on a holiday the prices will be as follows, and they are IN ADDITION to your weekly childcare costs. Christmas Eve, Christmas, and New Year's Eve-100/day. All other holidays listed 50/day. These are payable before the holiday. 13. Pick up time-please be punctual when picking up your child. Children learn to feel time, especially when the day runs on a schedule. Children become worried when it feels like mom or dad should have been there already, and they are not. If you are going to be more than 15mins. late, please call. If pickup is delayed more than 20 mins. on several occasions, a late fee will be charged of 5/15 mins. this fee will be payable when you pick up your child that day. Time is important to also because in my situation, if I am expecting children for the late shift and you have not picked up you child yet, I may end up with too many children, this could possibly affect the livelihood of my business, by causing me to lose my license. In addition, if you are more than 15 mins. late bringing your child and you have not phoned, I may run to the store to pick up some items. Because I am open so often, I don't have a lot of time to run them without bringing along the children. Please phone if you will be late bringing them. 14. Cost-this will be discussed on a case-by-case basis. The rate we decide on will be good six months from date of signed agreement, or the first day your child attends, whichever is first. You will be notified 2 weeks prior to any rate change. I need to budget my money as this is my only income, so the rate we decide on will be a weekly rate, even if you are part time. 15. Payday-I expect to be paid by Friday for the following week (you will be a week ahead). I do not expect payment if I close due to an emergency or I am on vacation. (I will prorate your cost, this will be effective the week immediately following.) Please be warned that if your child is not here for a week with no payment, I may fill your child's spot. You may pay cash or check. The check may not bounce or you will be subject a 25.00 penalty. Two bounced checks and I will accept checks no longer. If you do not pay by the Friday before your child comes for the week, you will be charged a late fee of 10 dollars. And I will not accept your child until childcare and late payments are paid in full. (If your child is not here, special arrangements can be made) I keep records of when the children are here and when you have paid. I do not give a statement each week, unless requested. Also, at any time that you would like a copy of your statement I will be happy tosupply one for you. For children who have been in my care more than weeks out of the year, you will receive a letter informing parents of the amount they have paid and my tax id number. I am required to give you this information before January 1st of the following year. 16. Please note the following: I would appreciate that you bring your child one change fo clothing to keep here, in case your child has an accident. Although I understand that children like to bring toys from home, we have a variety of age groups here and some toys may cause a choking hazard to the babies and/or toddlers, also I would hate for your child's toy to become lost or broken, so please leave toys at home. (This does not include naptime friends or comfort objects.) Also you may bring movies rated G. Make sure they are clearly marked with your name. I am not responsible for items that are lost. If your child is in diapers or potty training we need a pack of diapers and wipes. You will be informed when you become low and need more. Please bring a small blanket and pillow for naptime, these items will be kept in your child's cubby and will be washed once a week, so please make sure they can hold up. |
