Saturday Slaughter, Feb 19, 2005: From the Extreme Emporium in Bremerton, Washington, USA

Ryan "Martini" Duncan and Bob Sky welcomed everyone to another installment of the bi-weekly program, "Saturday Slaughter" coming to you from the Extreme Emporium in Bremerton, WA. The reason was it was bi-weekly was because next Saturday was GCA's Second PPVG Extravaganza, "GCA: Domination!" The card was set, and everyone was looking forward to it. However, tonight, there was some business that had to be taken care off. There would be four great fights, the Man Event promised to be HUGE! A tape showing Pre Fight Comments then played.

To start things off, we had a debut by one fighter and a third appearance by the second! It was time for Ed Pitts v Russell Black! With Russell's third fight in 11 days, some were worried he'd run himself down. Bob Sky said he was pushing his limits but Ryan Duncan said if he was wearing down, it didn't look like it. It was now time for the Tale of the Tape: At 6'3" and 181 pounds, Russell Black had the advantage. Pitts was a Shoot Fighter and Black was a Judo expert, so we could expect to see tackles and submissions versus throws and chops.

"Born To Crush You" by Icepick started to play as the fans gave a small response to Ed Pitts. He walked down to The Pentagon and got inside where he talked with Brody.

"Back in Black" by AC/DC started to play and the fans went crazy for Black, whose footage was being shown on the Globalvision Projection screen. he smiled as he walked down to the ring and was checked by Brody. Julia "The Siren" Stevenson then took the mic.

"Ladies and Gentlemen, this Opening Fight of Saturday Slaughter is a Light-Weight fight slated for 5 Rounds. Introducing first, to my left. He is wearing the gold color spandex trunks and stands at 5'10" with a weight of 168 pounds. A Shoot Fighter from Los Angeles, California, making his GCA debut! He is Eddie PITTS!"

"And his opponent! Staning at 6'3", weighing in at 181 pounds. He is a black belt in the discipline of Judo! From Auckland, New Zealand with a GCA Record of 2-0 with 1KO and 1 Stoppage...Russell BLACK!"

The fans were roaring ansd chanting "BLACK! BLACK! BLACK! BLACK!" as Eric Brody took charge:

Brody: "Pitts, Welcome to GCA...'YOU READY FOR COMBAT?' Black, You know the drill...'YOU READY FOR COMBAT?'...'IT'S GO TIME!'"

They tapped gloves and Slaughter was underway!

Ed Pitts surprised everyone, including Black, when he grabbed Black by the waist, took him down and applied a kumura arm bar. Before he could get it locked in, Black managed to escape and got back to his feet. Both men clinched and Black got a double underhook, he threw Pitts down, but then Pitts sfited his weight and got behind Black! Pitts tried a rear naked choke, but Black tried to get the arm for a fujiwara arm bar! Ed got a weak shot to the back of the head and Russell Black quickly turned around. Both men got to their feet with Pitts almost against the Cage. They clinched again, with Black trying to get Pitts down, but Pitts using the Cage to his advantage and holding it for leverage. Pitts made a tactical error though when he tried to wrap his legs around Black's for a trip. Black stopped trying to get the hands off the Cage and grabbed Pitts in a waistlock, throwing him down. Pitts wasn't able to set up guard and Black got some shots in before the buzzer sounded.

Ryan said that this was eterntaining. Bob Sky said that the technique on both fighters was solid, but Ed needs to be a bit more careful. It was time for a commercial break.

Brody: "YOU READY FOR COMBAT?...YOU READY FOR COMBAT?...IT'S GO TIME!"

Round 2: Russell Black came out and executed another nice throw, sending Pitts down fast. Black mounted and tried to use ground and pound, but Pitts managed to sweep his way out! Pitts then threw some shots, but Black did a good job at minimizing their damage. Pitts then tried to isolate limbs for sumbission, but Black had a strong guard and good defense. He positioned himself so that his feet were against the Cage and he managed to push away from Pitts. Pitts then lunged on top of Black again and pinned him there for the duration of the round, both men not able to do much.

Bob Sky said that these guys appeared even. Ryan then said it was time for a quick break while the fighters were resting.

Duncan welcomed everyone back and said Brody was ready to start Round 3.

"YOU READY FOR COMBAT? YOU READY FOR COMBAT? IT'S GO TIME!"

Round 3: Both men clinched again, and Pitts managed to back Black up against the Cage, however Black was able to turn it around and force Pitts against the Cage. They battled back and forth, countering each other's holds. Pitts tried some knee strikes and then a takedown, however, Black didn't go down, he ended up behind Pitts! Pitts was pressed against the Cage face first! Black threw wicked chops at the back of Pitts's head! Pitts tried swatting back at Black but Black was in control. When Black took a step back, Pitts turned and swung wildly, Black slipped it and then grabbed Pitts's head, pulled it down as he raised his knee! Black then picked up Pitts by the neck and leg and threw hin down hard with a front slam! Pitts's head bounced off the mat and he was out cold!

Winner by KO at 3:38 Round 3: Russell Black!

Ryan Duncan said that Russell Black was quickly becoming the most dominant fighter in GCA. Bob Sky said he couldn't believe the skill level of Black, and the fact that Black appeared healthy enough to fight again next week.

It was now time for the second fight of the night as we would see. "Brawlin" Billy Malone v Nick "The Nightmare" Johnson. Billy Malone had one GCA match under his belt, a Round 1 loss to Tyson McDermott. Nick "The Nightmare" Johnson was 1-1 with his most recent outing a loss to Andrew Woods in the DvG Tournament last Saturday at "GCA: No Love Lost" For those who didn't know, Malone was a striker, Johnson a wrestler. Malone had the height and weight advantage, but would that be a factor?

"Here Comes The Pain" by Slayer blasted through the arena speakers as "Brawlin" Billy Malone came out in his boxing robe. he made his way down to The Pentagon, removed the robe and stepped inside.

"Sleeping Awake" by P.O.D started to play as Nick Johnson came out, footage of his matches against Burnett and Woods aired as he made his way down to The Pentagon. Julia "The Siren" Stevenson started announcing.

"Ladies and Gentlemen, this Light-Weight fight is scheduled for 5 rounds! Introducing forst, stanbding to my left. He is dressed in the Red trunks with Yellow Trim. He is 6'5" tall and weighs 170 pounds. A Muay Thai Kickboxer from Atlanta, Georgia. He has a GCA Record of 0-1, he is "Brawlin" Billy MALONE!"

"And his opponent...standing at 6'1", weighing in at 157 pounds. He is wearing the Green Wrestling Singlet. A Freestyle Wrestler from Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada with a GCA Record of 1-1 with 1 Stoppage. here is Nick "The Nightmare" Johnson!"

Eric Brody then took over.

"Malone, 'YOU READY FOR COMBAT?' Johnson, 'YOU READY FOR COMBAT?'...'IT'S GO TIME!'"

Round 1: These two didn't waste time as Johnson ran in past a roundhouse kick, locked up Malone and threw him with a belly to belly take down. Johnson then got side control and hit Malone with a couple of shots. Billy lifted a leg and managed to get into half gaurd. Johnson looked to be more comfortable on the ground and he worked over Malone's ribs. Malone managed to push free but as he was getting to his feet Johnson jumped at him and nailed him with a knee to the face! Malone's nose got busted and blood flowed. Malone managed to get up and moved back a few steps. He stayed away from johnson as best he could and tried to recover. Just before the round ended, Johnson went for a double leg takedown, but Malone slipped to the side and nailed a viscious downward hook! The buzzer went off and the Round was over.

Ryan Duncan said that both men were gonig for big moves early. Bob Sky said that both wanted to get a win to stay in the hunt. It was time for a quick break.

Commercial for: "Kickbutt Security- For home protection against burglars, 'We Take Your Name and Kick Their Butt!'"

Eric Brody sttod in the middle and proceeded to start Round 2

"YOU READY FOR COMBAT?...YOU READY FOR COMBAT?...IT'S GO TIME!"

Round 2: Both men came out...Johnson tried for a quick single leg takedown but Malone slipped it and nailed Johnson with a Jumping Right Roundhouse Kick! Johnson went down like a ton of bricks! Malone mounted but Brody jumped him from behind and didn't let him throw a single punch!

Winner by Knock Out at 0:09 of Round 2: "Brawlin'" Billy Malone!

Ryan "Martini" Duncan and Bob Sky were flabbergasted at hopw quickly that ended. Ryan said that Billy just earned a name forhimself and Bob said it takes one good strike and it's over.

It was now time for the Heavyweight match-ups. The first Heavyweight fight would be Randy Hawerchuck v Nelson MacDonald Both men would be making their Pentagon debut. It was time for The Tale of the Tape: Randy Hawerhuck was 1 inch taller and 8 pounds heavier. His style was Ninjitsu and Nelson was a Freestyle Wrestler. An interesting note about Hawerchuck, he used to be a Mountie. Would he get his man in The Pentagon?

"Rawkfist" by Thousand Foot Krutch started to play as Hawerchuck came out with a big grin. Ryan Duncan said he looked happy to be in GCA. He walked down to The Pentagon and waited.

"Raise Your Fist" by Stretch Armstrong started to play as Nelson MacDonald came out. The fans cheered and smiled at his kilt.Ryan Duncan said that Nelson was friends with Declan MacIntosh and Duncan MacPherson, and all three decided to show Patriotic pride by wearing the kilt. nelson got inside and Julia Stevenson made the intros.

"Ladies and gentlemen. This Heavyweight Bout is slated for 5 Rounds and features BOTH fighters making their GCA Debut! Introducing first to my left. He is dressed in Red Gi Pants. He stands at 6'2", he weighs 230 pounds. He is skilled in Ninjitsu and is from Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada! He is Randy HAWERCHUCK!"

"And his opponent. A Freestyle Wrestler from the Scottish Highlands. He is wearing the Green and Blue Kilt with red spandex trunks underneath. Standing at 6'1" and weighing 222 pounds. he is Nelson MACDONALD!"

Eric Brody then took the stage:

"Welcome to GCA gentlemen, Hawerchuck, 'YOU READY FOR COMBAT?' MacDonald, 'YOU READY FOR COMBAT?'...'IT'S GO TIME!'"

Round 1: Hawerchuck and MacDonald met, traded some light jabs and Hawerchuck clinched. he got a knee to nelson's stomach but then McDonald put him down with a HUGE side slam and then dropped a big hammer fist, busting open Randy's lip! On the ground, Hawerchuck regained his composure before Nelson could do any more damage. Hawerchuck defended well against Nelson's ground and pound technique and managed to throw some decent, albeit weak strikes from below. The round ended modestly.

Duncan said that the action wasn't as intense as the previous matches. Bob Sky said that Nelson landed a hard blow early, and so Hawerchuck has been on the defensive while trying to recover. Now it was time for another commercial.

Commerical for: "Everlast Boxer Briefs- Official jockey shorts of the GCA!"

After the break, Brody signalled it was time for Round 2.

"YOU READY FOR COMBAT?...YOU READY FOR COMBAT?...IT'S GO TIME!"

Round 2: Nelson rushed at Randy, but the big Canuck was ready and as Nelson took him down, Randy managed to grab Nelson's arm for an armbar! Nelson struggled but pounded his way out before Randy got a solid grip. Nelson got back to his feet nand as Randy lunged, Nelson scored with a stright punch to the forehead. Nelson followed that up with a double axe strike on top of Randy's crown! Randy landed hard, face first on the mat! Nelson got on top of Randy from behind and threw hard punches. Randy gathered his wits, did a push up motion and slipped away. nelson sttod up and as Randy stood there, palms and feet on the mat, in a Hindu push up pose, he quickly thrust back, kicked Nelson in the stomach and lunged forward with a wicked chop! Nelson fell back and Randy mounted. he threw hammer fists and cuffs as the round came to a close.

Ryan commented that both did damage to each other in that round. Bob Sky said that their technique was sloppy however, and one of them would get hurt. Now GCA Slaughter takes a slight pause.

Commercial for: "GCA: Domination on Pay Per View, Feb 26, 2005 from Washington, DC"

Both commentators agreed that "GCA: Domination" would be a spectacular event as GCA would crown its first Heavyweight Champ. It was now time for Brody to commence Round 3.

"YOU READY FOR COMBAT?...YOU READY FOR COMBAT?...IT'S GO TIME!"

Round 3: They met in the middle and tapped gloves. They looked to be slow moving, perhaps cautious, perhaps tired, probably a combination. Nelson threw a punch, but missed. Nelson then tried a weak, low, back spin kick. Nelson ended up slipping and Randy pounced! Randy was behind Nelson and got on top. he tried applying a rear naked choke, but Nelson moved his chin to prevent Randy's forearm from closing around the neck. Nelson Got on all fours as Randy then tried to throw some shots to the ribs. Nelson locked his arms around Randy's legs and in an impressive display of strength, stood up with Randy on his back! Nelson then backed up and fell backward into the Cage! Randy's head hit the cage and then slammed on the floor with Nelson on top! A puddle of blood formed around Randy and Brody jumped in with Dr. Tim Sheridan. They both agreed almost instantly that Randy would not be able to continue!

Winner by Ref Stoppage (TKO) at 0:56 Round 3: Nelson MacDonald!

Ryan Duncan and Bob Sky agreed that that was a brutal bout with a wicked and unpredictable slam to end it. It was now time for the Main Event!

"The Assassin" Andrei Valimov v Rudy "Dolemite" Jackson

It was surprising to see Dolemite volunteer for this fight, however, someone was needed who was fresh and most of the roster had been used already or on the PPV card. Dolemite said he would because he was fresh from his fight at "GCA: No Love Lost" where he KO'ed Bruce Roberts. Ryan Duncan said that at "GCA: Domination" GCA Commisioner Stefano would make a few announcements concerning new signees to GCA. However, now it was time for fighting!

"Walk" by Pantera started to play as the fans rocked out to the metal. Andrei came out and walked straight to The Pentagon. Ryan Duncan said that of all the fighters, Alimov's motives are among the most noble. he was only doing this to support his family in Russia. He wasn't about fame, or ego, just making an honest living.

"Fist Full" by Cypress Hill started to play and out came tha Dolemite. He got a mixed reaction as came out strutting and beaming. Ryan said he looked really confident. Dolemite pointed to footage playing on the Globalvision of him beating up on Bruce Roberts. He strutted down to The Pentagon and got in. Julia "The Siren" Stevenson then got on the mic.

"Ladies and gentlemen, this is the Main Event for this intsallment of Saturday Slaughter! It is a Heavyweight Bout scheduled for 5 Rounds! Introducing first, the fighter to my left. He stands at 6'1 1/2" and weighs in at 217 pounds. He is a black belt in Da Dao Karate and is from St. Petersburgh, Russia. He is dressed in the Red Gi and he is making his GCA Debut! He is "The Assassin" Andrei VALIMOV!"

"And his opponent, a man who almost needs no introduction. He stands at 5'10", weighs 225 pounds. A black belt in Karate, dressed in the black Spandex boxer trunks with the white "D" on the butt. He has a GCA Record of 2-0 with 1 KO and 1 Decision. Fighting out of Chicago, Illinois, he is Rudy "Dolemite" JACKSON!"

Julia left and Brody took over.

"Main Event time! Andrei, welcome to GCA...'YOU READY FOR COMBAT?' Jackson, 'YOU READY FOR COMBAT?' 'IT'S GO TIME!'"

Round 1: They met in the middle of the Pentagon where Andrei was caught with a quick jab. Dolemite tried a side thrust kick, but Andrei slipped by it and threw a roundhouse thrust kick into Dolemite's gut! Dolemite went down, rolled over, turned and as he was getting up he was met with a three punch jab combo that connected to the face! Dolemite went down again, but managed to show Brody he was still conscious. Andrei mounted and threw punch after punch at Dolemite. He kept Dolemite pinned to the mat and on the defensive. Dolemite did his best to block, but Andrei got in some tough shots. The round ended with everyone in shock.

Ryan Duncan said he couldn't believe Rudy Jackson was molested like that. Bob Sky said tha that round was definitely in Andrei's favor and Rudy was lucky it didnt end in the first round. It was time for a quick break.

Commercial for: "Polar Ice Water"

Brody was ready to start Round 2 as Slaughter came back from the commercial break.

"YOU READY FOR COMBAT?...YOU READY FOR COMBAT?...IT'S GO TIME!"

Round 2: Rudy "Dolemite" Jackson's face looked a bit lunmpy already as they met for round 2. Rudy had his defensive stance and he was able to knock away Andrei's shots. Rudy scored with some kicks to the outer thigh. They circled each other, Rudy being very cautious, and then he fired a couple of jabs, they missed but then he hit Andrei in the shoulder with a hook. Andrei then out of nowehere hit Rudy with a hard front kick right to the gut! Rudy turned away and as Andrei closed in, Rudy spun and hit Andrei with a blow to the cheek! Andrei went down fast but before Rudy could take advantage, the round had ended!

Ryan Duncan said that Dolemite looked better in this round. Bob Sky said that Dolemite has to take Andrei seriously, round 1 proved that, but Andrei has to be very wary, that exchange showed that.Ryan said they'd be back after a quick message.

Commercial for: "GCA: Domination-Feb 26, 2005 from Washington, DC. "Electric Joy Boy" Forsythe Perkins v "Uberman" Fritz Kohler for the GCA Heavyweight title. History will be made!"

After the break, Ryan Duncan said that it would be a great event. Not only would EJB v Uberman be the Main Event, but the other Main Event is a Number One Contender's Match for the GCA Light-Weight Title. Russell Black has been confirmed to face Declan MacIntosh. It was now time to start Round 3.

Brody: "YOU READY FOR COMBAT?...YOU READY FOR COMBAT?...IT'S GO TIME!"

Round 3: The theme for this round was "Conservative." Andrei came out first with a couple of quick jab kicks to the legs of Dolemite. They circled each other then Dolemite snapped a quick kick at Andrei's ribs, but didn't look like it did much. Dolemite then followed up with a fake low, go high kick that connected solidly on Andrei's shoulder. Bob Sky explained that tyhey don't look dangerous, but after a while, punches and kicks to the shoulder will hurt, and the opponent won't be able to raise their arm, making them vulnerable to a KO. Dolemite scored again with some more solid punches to the shoulder. Andrei then threw a front kick as the round came to a close.

Ryan Duncan saiud that Dolemite did a good job of holding Alimov at bay. Bob Sky said Rudy Jackson needed to get more aggressive though. If this fight went the distance, then Alimov would probably win for his early performance. Ryan said they had to take a quick pause.

Commercial for: "Kickbutt Security- For home protection against burglars, 'We Take Your Name and Kick Their Butt!'"

Ryan welcomed everyone back as we were set for Round 4.

Brody: "YOU READY FOR COMBAT?...YOU READY FOR COMBAT?...IT'S GO TIME!"

Round 4: This round was all Andrei. He came out throwing wild hooks that forced Dolemite to cover up. Andrei backed Dolemite up to the Cage, and threw a 4 punch combo at Dolemite's stomach. Dolemite tried to retaliate, but Andrei stuck and moved, and bobbed and weaved. Dolemite tried to clinch so Andrei threw up hard knee strikes into Dolemite's stomach. Andrei broke the clinch and landed a punch on Dolemite's cheek. Dolemite was rocked as Andrei landed hard uppercuts to the stomach. The round ended with Dolemite looking helpless.

Ryan "Martini" Duncan was awed by the display by Alimov. Bob Sky said that Alimov had to t be careful hough, Dolemite is tough and unpredictable, Andrei just has to be smart and at the least, he should win by decision. It was time for a break.

Commercial for: "Jim's Frosted Turkey Flakes Cereal."

It was time for the Final Round and Brody called them back to battle.

"YOU READY FOR COMBAT?...YOU READY FOR COMBAT?...IT'S GO TIME!"

Round 5: They met in the middle and Dolemite threw some quick jabs, a jab kick, and while Andrei was distracted with that, Dolemite threw a crescent klick that nailed Andrei. Andrei was dazed and Domeite closed in. However, Andrei regained his composure and he countered DFolemite's strikes. He threw some ounches and some low roundhouse kicks. Dolemite blocked them but he was backed up against the Cage in the proicess. Andrei threw punches and kicked and stayed on tope of Dolemite. Dolemite did his best to block but some strikes connected. Then, Andrei took a step back and did a short jumping side thrust kick. It hit Dolemite hard in the stomach and pinned him against the Cage of The Pentagon! Andrei lowered his foot and Dolemite collapsed and rolled on his back! Andrei backed away as Brody and Dr. bryan Duncan came into The Pentagon. Dolemite lay there clutching his stomach and he looked to be gasping for air! Brody immediately waved his hands and it was over! Dr Bryan Duncan called down paramedics and Dolemite was off to the hospital! The fans in the Extreme Emporium were shocked, but they then cheered loudly for Alimov.
