Pre-Fight Comments for Saturday Slaughter, Feb 19, 2005

Ed Pitts: "I'm a shooter...and as a shooter I am trained to break bones and tear tendons, Russell Black has shown himself to be very strong, but he's not fighting a soccer hooligan, he'll be fighting me, and I'm tougher than 10 soccer hooligans combined!"

Russell Black: "A lot of people worry about me because this is my third Pentagon appearance in 11 days. My record speaks for itself, I Knocked Out Gary Campbell, then I won by Stoppage over Tyson McDermott. I feel fit and ready to fight, if I take damage, then I'll stop. Tonight though, I expect to win. After this fight, I expect to become the Number One Contender for the Light-Weight Title."

Billy Malone: This match is all about redemption. At Throwdown 2, Tyson McDermott caught me making a big mistake and he won. I was embarrassed, so I've been training hard and trying to improve my game.

Nick Johnson: "Both Malone and I need to win this fight. I lost to Woods at No Love Lost, Billy lost in his debut, so it's a 'must win' situation for the both of us. Expect me to come out slamming him into the cage."

Randy Hawerchuck: "I'm excited, this is my first fight and I want to do my best eh."

Nelson MacDonald: "I have nothing but respect fer ma opponent, and I'm expecting the lad ta put a goo figh...this oughtta be excitin to wotch!"

Andre Alimov: "Rudy Jackson zinks he is someone special because he defeated Bruce Roberts twice. I admit his second win was impressive, but do not be fooled. He vill find out that not all fighters have the same style as Bruce. I knoiw I can beat him and I vill."

Rudy Jackson: "Man, what kind of honky voodoo is that cat trying to work on me? If dat sucka thinks he can best tha Dolemite, then it's obvious dat chump had too much vodka in his foo brain! After tonight, I'll be a sweet 3-0!"

Post Fighjt Comments:

Russell Black: "I can't say enough positive things about ed Pitts. he's strong, he's talented, he's smart. I had to be on my game with him, I had to be flawless. I think I showed that I was. Now I want Esteban Suave in The Pentagon, it's as simple as that. I want the Light-Weight title. I face Declan next week at Domination, I'll be training for it, I'll be focused on him...but next month, I want Esteban!"

Billy Malone: "I did what I needed to do. I needed to show that I have what it takes to be a contender here. I give credit to Nick Johnson, but I needed this win and I earned ir."

Nelson MacDonald: "'Twas a grea fight, and Randy is a stand up man, a man I respect. Now I move on to ma next challenge, whoever that may be."

Andrei Alimov: "I hope that Rudy Jackson is humbled by this experience. It took me a while to end the fight, he's good, but he overestimated himself and underestimated me."
