WHAT WE DID!
SUNDAY
Sunday morning dawned not quite so bright and early for most of us *g*. Too tired from the previous days activities, we decided that we couldn't face a trip out to Conway. Castles are a big draw but in our current state of energy and alertness, it was quite possible that people would be walking off the battlements - if they could make it up there *lol*.
Instead we decided to put ourselves through the vast hardship *ahem* of spending the day watching videos. The hotel kindly let us have the use of the boardroom again *yippeee* so we settled down, with people coming in and out as they wished. I didn't really join everyone til after lunch, I must admit - mainly cause I couldn't keep my eyes open til about 10am *lol*.
With Karen and Kathryn, I disappeared to grab lunch in the pub nextdoor, assuming that I would bump into some of others who'd also gone in search of food. Where they went though I have NO idea, cause I only saw three others *lol*.
After lunch, people gradually appeared and we sat down properly to watch both M7 episodes and some of the guy's independent movies. As the late afternoon approached we had to wave a fond farewell to the four people who had work next morning *sob*.
The rest of us realised that we hadn't signed the card for the Euro-gift, so we quickly made that our next task. For a good hour and a half we then had hysterics coming up with some, mostly unprintable, alternative sayings for the inside of the card. The one we went with was understated and simple - . The 'cleaner' alternatives, if you want a laugh, can be seen here - and believe me, they are the safe ones *lol* Twenty plus women, seven hot men to write too - you can imagine I'm sure! *g*
Pulling ourselves together, we moved everything back into the normal TV room so that the hotel could set-up for a conference next day! After a quick dash for coats, we then met up in the lobby again, and piled into cars to head to the Old Trooper Beefeater Restaurant.
The Old Trooper is designed to have different levels and mini-houses inside. We disappeared up some stairs and took over a mini level about half-way up. Tonight we were all a little subdued (we were shattered *g*) but we still had a nice meal together, chatting and taking yet more photos. At one point a magician came round and I had to laugh when the one person he picked out to do a car trick for, was our own little magician, Becky! *lol*
With dinner over, we headed back to the hotel and moved into the TV room! There weren't so many of us now, so we could actually breath in there *lol*. The smaller number (about twenty-three) actually let us chat very easily and we continued a steady conversation throughout the night.
We watched some more M7 episodes, especially Season One, as a lot of the attendees had joined late into the airing. One moment which caused a huge laugh came in 'One Day Out West', when Chris turned to Ezra and said, "You broke the law, you've been a bad boy" *lol*.
By the time we got to 'Nemesis' we were having a blast and were bubbling with excitement (it was about 1am by then). So during one scene, we turned down the sound and made up our own alternative script - silly, as you can imagine *g*.
After that there was nothing else we could do but shove in the video of Tony's "Return of the Killer Tomatoes" and continue the laughs until 3:30am. Now completely shattered, and aware of the early start, the nine or so of us still awake, said our goodnights and crawled to our respective rooms.
