Wind turbines Domestic Turbines

Global warming seems to be increasing each second, but thankfully there are some solutions to slow it down. One way to slow it down is, use less gas, oil, and electricity, especially if we have no important reason to use them. Another thing that we could do is, use certain power sources that use renewable energy. An example of a power renewing source would be wind turbines.

Wind turbines are usually found in places such as Minnesota, Iowa, California, and Wisconsin. In fact, they could be found practically anywhere, as long as it is in a large open area that has a lot of wind. Turbines are useful, because of how it's large spinning blades turn wind into electricity. There are also small domesticated wind turbines, which make smaller amounts of electricity than the large turbines.

There are a few downsides for the wind turbines. An example would be the fact that birds easily get killed from flying too close to the blades. Another reason is, because of how expensive the prices are. Also, some people consider them to be noisy and displeasing to look at. Here is a message to those people, would you rather see an unpleasant looking wind turbine in your backyard, or a wave about to hit your home.

Solar Power Panels

Another useful power source would be solar power. Solar panels are panels that are made from modules, which are cells and wires. These panels are used to absorb the sun's rays into renewable energy. Obviously, these panels should be placed in any area where the sun could shine on them. Solar panels may be a great power source, but there are always a few downsides for this. For one thing, the sky might be cloudy enabling the panels to absorb sunlight. Another reason is because maintenance is required, such as cleaning off the leaves, dirt, and dust. The final reason is because, they are just too expensive.
