| The original electric setup for the volcanic
splash left my electronics asking for more. The batteries would dump too
soon and the speeds were not really ballistic. I knew that with uptodate
battery packs and better motors I could make this boat fly. I had a couple
of spare .12 Nitro engines that I wasn't using and I decided to pour some
power to see how this baby really runs. The woodless hydro flexed way too
much for a peppy nitro engine so I got my creative juices flowing and came
up with an enclosed radio box that would reinforce the hull at the same
time. Note: I did a lot of testing to come up with the final design. The
past woes of having to do some creative designing and messing arround with
the engine flared up again. Many a time I had to let the project rest and
run my trusty fast electric rigger. This time arround I wont bore you with
long descriptive sections. A picture is worth a thousand words. |
