Summary
Beezler is desperate to get a date for Friday night. But, all his attempts and all the guide books don't help. the one girl interested in him, Angela and keeps passing her up. When he makes a pass at his lab partner, which she quickly rejects, he accidentally knocks over 2 potions. The liquids land on a magazine with a dog on the cover. Within moments, a living breathing dog is there. He takes the liquids home and pours them onto 'Miss Autumn.' Unfortunately, he uses too much and she is a giant. She shouts "Kiss me and I am yours forever." He doesn't. He tries using less, but she is deformed. "Kiss me and I am yours forever."... nope. The third photo is an upper body shot and the end product is only from the belly up. "Kiss me and I am yours forever."... no way. The next one he does just right. "Kiss me and I am yours forever." But, the pizza boy beats him to the kiss and leaves with the girl. Leaving Beezler alone with Angela. "What are you doing Friday night?" |
Commentary
Back into "Goosebumps" territory, this episode is a quick dab into "Weird Science." Cryer's talents are wasted without dialogue. But, the tone is consistent. The final shot of the potions pouring onto a copy of Fangoria is a cute closing. |
