Tonight, a little comedy horror for you and the little boys and ghouls..

Summary

Harry is obsessed with movies. Life is just a station break between films to him. He uses a video of Hitchcock's "Psycho" to wake him up in the morning. He is so caught up in the cinema that he doesn't realize his beautiful neighbor has a crush on him. After an embarrassing moment at the family dinner table, Harry goes out to the street and yells "Why can't life be as good as the movies!" Within moments he finds himself at the Bates Motel wearing Marion Cranes dress. He is in a shot by shot of the shower scene! Just when he is to be stabbed, he falls through the floor and emerges back in the real world with a second chance. Passing by a "It's a Wonderful Life" movie poster, he reluctantly asks his beautiful neighbor out and she agrees!

Commentary

Sometimes quite cute but other times like a precursor to   "Goosebumps", 'Welcome to my nightmare' really shines in its re-enactment of scenes from Psycho. The rest of the storyline really focuses on getting Harry to the Bates Motel. His family at home is quite good including Christina Applegate as his intolerant sister. The 'Wonderful Life' ending is also rather cute and the outcome you would want, not for Harry's sake, but for his neighbors.
