Traveller is one of the most interesting science fiction universes I have been exposed to. I have found great pleasure in playing the game, designing space craft and star ships, and in writing tools for play.

I have developed a MS-DOS text based Mega Traveller Character Generator. With extensive character generation capabilities, including advanced character generation, support for most of the races published by GDW and numerous extensions from Challenge and Travellers Digest plus WWW articles on other races and careers. The program, called MTCG, is in the public domain.
I have updated a program called RICE, originally written by Alvin Plumber, which creates RICE papers on worlds; adding the ability to enter partial orbits and cleaning up the screens a bit. The RICE program generates climatic and resource information for a world based on data from the TNE version of the World Tamers Handbook copyright GDW. The Visual Basic source code is included in the file. I have been unable to contact Alvin to give him my changes to his program. Download rice1132.zip.
I have setup a bunch of military career templates using AutoPC spreadsheets (Microsoft Excel) to make it easier to setup new characters in our latest GURPS "Star Merc" campaign. AutoPC was written by Lyman Lockwood. The latest version of AutoPC is available on the Steve Jackson Games web site.
The current E-PBM Traveller game I am participating in.
These are my other favorite Traveller links.
