Greg Maddux delivered 8 solid innings at Busch Stadium as the Avery Tards
(AVC) beat the Co Operators (COO) by the count of 8 to 2.

Maddux(1-0) had a strong outing.  He was stingy on the mound, allowing just 3
hits and 2 walks in 8 innings.  Co Operators was out-hit by Avery Tards, 15
hits to 5.  

Jeff D'Amico(1-1) took the loss.  He served up 3 gopher balls in 6 innings.

Felix Rodriguez pitched 3 strong innings as the Co Operators (COO) beat the
Avery Tards (AVC) by a score of 9 to 5.

Co Operators had 5 runs cross the plate in the 7th inning when they had 4 base
hits.  The highlight belonged to Jeff Bagwell who silenced Busch Stadium as
he lifted one out of the park for a two run home run (his 2nd of the season).
Rodriguez relieved and was untouched by Avery Tards as he recorded the save,
his 1st.  

Vic Darensbourg(1-0) was the winner allowing no runs in 1 inning. Mike
James(0-1) took the loss in relief.  He gave up 3 hits and 2 walks in 1/3 of
an inning.

Center fielder Steve Finley smashed 2 homeruns and had 4 RBI as the Co
Operators (COO) won in dramatic fashion over the Avery Tards (AVC) by a score
of 11 to 9 at The Ballpark.

Co Operators came up with the deciding runs in the bottom of the 9th inning
when they tallied 5 runs on 4 hits.  The key at-bat was by Finley who came
through for the home fans when he lost the ball over the fence for three runs
(his 4th of the season).  Co Operators finished with 12 hits in the victory.

The win was credited to Felix Rodriguez(3-0) who went 1 inning allowing no
runs. Gabe White(0-1) was given the loss in relief.  'What a game!,'
Rodriguez said afterward.  'When we won it I almost couldn't believe it!'

The Co Operators (COO) cruised to a 7 to 2 victory over the Avery Tards (AVC)
at The Ballpark.

Avery Tards was unable to claim the lead after Co Operators went ahead in the
2nd inning as they scored 2 runs on 2 base hits.  The big moment was provided
by Steve Finley who made the crowd come alive when he bombed a two-run dinger
(his 5th of the season).  Co Operators finished with 11 hits in the victory.

The win went to Jeff D'Amico(2-1) who allowed 1 run in 7 innings. A.J.
Burnett(0-1) was the loser.  He was knocked around by Co Operators, allowing
7 hits and 4 walks in 4 and 2/3 innings.

In an exciting finish the Avery Tards (AVC) pulled out a win over the Co
Operators (COO) by a score of 8 to 7 at Busch Stadium.

The deciding run was scored by Avery Tards in the 9th.  Troy Glaus smashed a
bases-empty 'big-fly' (his 3rd of the season) making Avery Tards the winners
and sending the 49,617 fans home happy.  Avery Tards won despite being
out-hit by Co Operators 8 hits to 5.  

The victory was credited to Gabe White(1-1) who went 1 and 1/3 innings,
allowing no runs. Jeff Shaw(0-2) was the losing pitcher in relief.

Greg Maddux shutout Co Operators while allowing the Avery Tards bullpen a
day-off and Edgar Renteria left the yard and had 2 RBI as the Avery Tards
(AVC) outscored the Co Operators (COO) 6 to 0.

Maddux(2-0) had a strong outing.  He didn't give up much, just 4 hits and 3
walks in 9 innings improving his ERA from 1.13 to 0.72.  Avery Tards had 9
hits for the night.  

Rick Reed(1-1) was hit with the loss.  He served up 3 homeruns in his 5
innings.
