Welcome to what remains of the O.Z.

The more things change the more they stay the same.

In the time since this site was originally up, I've gone all over. Returning to where my fannish heart lies, in the dusty world of the gunfighter. More specifically back to the spaghetti western hombres I fell in love with as a kid and continue to love now.

the nomadMy introduction to Carl McCoy came through film and for eleven years I knew him as the Nomad in Richard Stanley's Hardware. That's the way I continue to see Carl. For even though this is not the man per say, it's the aspect that I'm attracted to. When I become a fan of someone or something, 99.9% of the time, it's the character not the person attached.

If you want info on the man himself I suggest two sites, the lovelyOfficial Nephilim site and my dear pal Rayvn's amazing fan site Semjaaza.com.

What's here: a musical history I did on the Nephilim for now defunct gothic online site Delirium, two script pages from Hardware and two pieces of Nomad Fan Fic by Dragon and myself. The musical history is here for anyone who wants a review style history of Carl's musical output. The rest, some neat flotsam and jetsam I think a scavenger like the Nomad would appreciate.

This site will not be updated, the material I'm presenting (thank you Rayvn!) is what remained after a system meltdown and the loss of the material which once made up Over to the Other Side etc. Unfortunately no html files remained of my months long efforts to try and committ my admiration to McCoy online. The fact that I've been unable to get a clear transcription of an interview I did with Hardware director/creator Richard Stanley back in May pretty much sums up the deal. Apathetic, well yes and no. While I respect McCoy's beliefs, I do not follow them. I do however revel in the artistic side of his talents (dark gothic art always draws me), and the early spooky gunfighter persona he adopted back in the mid-late 80s.

The Nomad may make an appearance on another site since he is a bastard son of Django (I see more of Sergio Corbucci's brilliant horror-death like avenger in the Nomad than the characters in Sergio Leone's most drab of spaghettis, Once Upon a Time in the West), as I've been asked by some other spaghetti western fans to think about a site on the many bastard sons birthed by the Man with No Name and Django, but quien sabe?

Please do not use anything on this site without the expressed persmission of myself , Rayvn, or Richard Stanley (and no I DO NOT have contact information for him, so please don't ask).
