The West Wood

Several miles to the west of Foggyton lie what the commoners call by several names "The Westwood, Western Wood or Wood of the West". These dark woods are the last stand of forest before the land begins to rise into the highlands of the Crystaline Mountains that dominate the west and hide the land beyond from Golandorians. Loggers rarely travel to this forest for logging as it a dark and mysterious area that is inhabited by many different denizens of the wild. Several loggers went into the area and were never heard from again. Fierce snowstorms blow down from of the Crystaline Mountains during the cold months of Herride, Whitenal, Laron, and Cadaron (See Calendar of Golandor). To make a living in Foggyton is close to unbearable to say the least.
