On the far right wall of the room, hanging next to the bed about
shoulder-high, you see a portrait framed in gold of an old man in
red robes. The man has a long white beard and delicate-looking hands.
He stares off in a disconnected way. There is a spidery signature
at the bottom of the painting that reads "Voragern".
Attached to the bottom of the frame you see an engraved brass plate
with the name "Forthenal
Seawind" etched into it. Under the portrait, you see a small
wooden two-drawer desk with an unlit candle, an inkbottle, quill,
and a pieces of parchment on it. Under the candle is a red cloth that
matches the color of the man's robes in the portrait. At the back
of the room, two roughly hewn passages lead away into darkness. One
is in the right corner and is about 5' wide and gradually curves to
the right, out of sight. The other is roughly 10' wide and curves
to the left out of sight.
