Females:
There is only one Dragon Queen, one Heir. There are no Kings. Females rule. ;) All other females can be any color except for the six Dragon Queen colors but can have those colors as highlights. All other females are fertile, they have never been non-fertile.

Mating Flights:
Any female can have a flight every two months, except the Dragon Queen. The Dragon Queen will rise only twice a year.

Clutching Period:
The Dragon Queens will be with eggs for one month and then clutch. The eggs will then hatch anywhere from two to four weeks.

Clutching Grounds:
The Dragon Queen will always be with her eggs in the Clutching Grounds. The Grounds is a sandy cavern, though some Dragon Queens will clutch on a warm sandy beach near a volcano, active or dormant. If the volcano is active, she will stand guard and then move them if her eggs become endangered.

Queen Colors with egg numbers and size:
Black, lays 45 to 55 eggs, sometimes more or less than average. 70 to 90 meters.

Maroon, lays 35 to 45 eggs. 60 to 80 meters.

White, lays 25 to 35 eggs. 50 to 70 meters.

Red, lays 15 to 25 eggs. 40 to 60 meters.

Aqua, lays 5 to 15 eggs. 30 to 50 meters.

Silver, lays 1 to 5 eggs. 20 to 40 meters.

Males:
Males can be any color. They are built for speed and strength. Males are marginally smaller than females.

Speech:
The dragons are adept at speaking English without telepathy. Several are learning other languages. They bond thru the mind with those that they like. These dragons, unlike Anne McCaffery's Pern dragons, can live without their bonded, but live apart from their clan for several years before they consider to bond with another human.

History:

Long ago, Dragons roamed Earth. With them came werewolves, Wizards, Gryphons, Sorcerers, Sorceresses, Wicca, and other creatures that the Humans thought were Myth.

These creatures hid from sight, living as best they knew how in a changing world. Some were good and some were evil. The evil creatures lived off of the weak. They saw themselves as superiors to any other creature. And they wanted to rule Earth.

The good creatures did not want to see that happen. In that time, there was a war. Good verses Evil. Good won. The evil creatures were banished to a far off planet. Where they have been ever since, but there is a growing unrest on the planet as they conive to regain their freedom on Earth and roam again in the Earth's environment.

Now, almost one thousand years later, Vytha, Dragon Queen of the Vhalkhyr clan, is dying. Her last clutch is on the sands. Large though it is, the Elders are saying that there may not be an Heir in the clutch to take over after Vytha dies.
