![]() HistoryCenturies ago, man kind looked for a way to find eternal healing and peace. It was a long time in coming. As he searched, he lived solitary lives and prospered into a strong and proud race. Man kind grew into great numbers, and where viruses and plagues ravaged many towns and great cities. In the shadow of Man's evolution, many other races began to secretly emerge and grow: Dragons, Gryphons, Unicorns, Fae, Elf, Darvakk, Gnomes, Dwarves, Centaurs, Vampires, and many more evolved right along with Man kind. Some of the creatures were good, and some were evil. Man had no knowledge of these other creatures until a dragon met a human and a lasting bond was forged. Man kind was too ignorant to the fact that they could live peacefully with these creatures. But it would be nearly a millenia before peace would be allowed. This Dragon and human bond brought war, hate, and, incredibly, love. There is a story of a woman that fell in love with a male dragon. She loved him so much that both refused a life of selbacy. The lovers ran away and have never been heard of since. That supposedly happened many centuries ago. And now, most humans and dragons believe that it never happened. The Dragons and humans fought for several centuries before their number was threatened by extinction. The Mother of Dragons took her remaining children away from the land of Men. She kept her place of rest hidden from any man that would attempt to kill her surviving children, even after her death. The Humans found their peace once they were sure no dragons were left. For there were a few dragons that refused to leave the land of Man, despite their Great Mother's command. Those dragons died sadly by the famed hand of Bowen Gidalphre. His name remains in human history as the famous 'Dragon Slayer'. All the other creatures went into hiding as well. They did not want to earn the same fate as the Dragons. The Elves hid their cities well by using their magic. Every creature that had magic, used it to hide themselves from human detection. Others that had no magic, evolved the ability to shapeshift. They changed into forms that humans recognised as natural. In the 20th Century, Humans learned of their ancestors ambitions towards these creatures and sought them out. Now, in the new millenium, these creatures roam free of death and war. Though there are some humans who would rather the creatures be killed to keep human kind 'spiritually cleansed'. Who's side will you be on?
