When Lyar had finished burying the dead she brushed the dried dirt off, she picked Kese off the ground and placed her on her shoulder before she left the marked area and began to walk toward the small hold. By the time she had made it to the hold the night had left and the sun was now again melting the snow, when Beia and Onor spotted her from the hold they ran out to her. They helped her into the hold and by the time she was able to talk to them Lyar had drunk four glasses of hot klah. On her fifth one they started to ask her questions, she set her klah down and answered their questions before she told them what happened about their son.
"I'm sorry it happened,” said Lyar after she told them.
"I know but...we knew that he impressed a wher. We saw the signs before he left yesterday, we first realized it when he would take raw wherry meat outside and into the forest" replied Beia.
"Wait, where is Dane?" asked Onor.
         "He...died defending me" replied Lyar.
         "Oh...my condolences" said Onor.
"It's all right,” replied Lyar. "I should be going now,” she said as she began to leave the hold.
"Wait, at least let me tend to the marks on your shoulders" said Beia.
"No a wher catcher with scars shows them off with pride" replied Lyar as Kese chirped in agreement as Lyar left the hold. Lyar had enough credits to make it on her own for a while and the only way should could start was to go to the gather, once there she quickly made her way to the wher dens. She stopped at the den entrance and yelled inside, Deme walked out with his hands on his ears.
"No need to yell, it echoes in there so I can here you just fine" said Deme as he took his hands off of his ears.
"I've come to let you know that the one eyed wher was impressed,” replied Lyar.
"What? I why are all the good whers impressed" groaned Deme.
"But that's not all" said Lyar as she began to tell Deme about what happened last night. When she finished she was holding her watch wher catcher knot in her hand. "Since the fight happened I've decided to hand in my wher catcher knot,” said Lyar as she slowly turned her hand over and let the knot slip from her hand.
"But you can't leave, you're the best in the business" replied Deme.
"I might be but, I can't take any more killing,” replied Lyar.
"What do you mean more killing, that fight was the first kill that you saw?” said Deme.
"Exactly, I watched a boy die, a wher die and I had to put my canine out of misery. I think that's enough for me,” replied Lyar as Kese chirped in agreement.
"This is your last chance to stay and if you quit I wont call a search dragon,” said Deme.
"I call your bluff, you can't call a search rider here. And I will quit" replied Lyar as she turned and began to walk back into the gather. She knew that she would have to get a new knot when her credits are low, but that wasn't going to be a while if she stayed with buying the essentials. Suddenly Lyar spied a dragon landing near the gather, she concentrated on the dragon and thought as a hard as she could and she then saw the dragon in color. As she saw the blue the pain arrived, she focused on the rider and she saw him in color and the pain intensified. She smirked and let the color fade away, she knew that if she tried to concentrate to a point that would kill her she could switch from seeing in black and white to color. But she decided to stay with black and white for it was easier for her to know what things were; suddenly the rider dismounted and began to look for something or someone. She shrugged her shoulders and began to walk in the direction of the dragon but she had no intention of stopping.

"J'rin, I sense them. They are close,” said the blue dragon Amitath.
"Where?" asked the dragon's rider J’rin?

"Look for the girl with a special black firelizard" replied Amitath, J'rin nodded and began to look harder when he spotted Lyar walking towards them.
        "Is that her?" asked J'rin.

"Yes, that is the one,” replied the blue.
        "Excuse me...?" questioned J'rin.
        "Lyar" she replied.
"Sorry, uh Lyar have you ever thought about being a dragonrider?" asked J’rin.
        "Who hasn't?" replied Lyar.
"With your permission, Amitath can search you,” said J'rin. Lyar nodded with approval and the blue stared at her, when the blue finished it appeared to be saying something to its rider.

"You have been approved to stand at the sands at the flurry at Ryslen Red,” said Amitath.
"You're losing your touch searchdragon, if you saw what happen last night than you would of never approved me" replied Lyar.

"I say for it is one of the few things on your mind, and I also saw that you were colorblind" said Amitath.
"You're wrong on two things, the first is that I can see in color for I saw that you are a blue and second you were wrong about approving me,” replied Lyar.

"I can believe you seeing in color but I am never wrong in searching someone" roared the blue in her head.
"Fine but if I'm left standing on the sands for the rest of my life, it's your fault" replied Lyar.
"I think that you've chatted with Amitath long enough so how about we go to Ryslen Red now?" asked J'rin as he mounted the blue.
"All right" replied Lyar as she mounted right behind him; the blue flapped its wings before it launched into the air.
"All right Amitath, to Ryslen" said J'rin as the blue went between.
