History:

Gary Wilens was, is, and will always be an office bound, 9 to 5, coffee slugging, paper pushing stiff. A minor executive at a New York based corporation that does business in thirty countries and is about as well known as the guy who sells hot dogs on the street. Gary commutes by subway from his apartment on the opposite side of Manhattan and expects no more than what he has. A decent job, a nice place, a few parties around the holidays and eventually a wife and kids. Gary becoming any kind of superhero was the last thing he’d ever consider or want up to that point. But with Gary’s luck, that’s just around the time the other shoe drops.
Three or so of Gary’s old college friends, as well as a friend or two of theirs, had already won Powers beyond anything previously imagined. While visiting the newly established headquarters of this burgeoning super-team Gary was invited by the Golden Dragon and his partner Coldsnap, to attend a special function at the Boston Museum of science and Technology. Choosing to accept Gary took the day off from work and riding on the Dragon’s back he accompanied them to the exhibition. Losing interest in the lecture about Mythology versus Science that Dragon and Coldsnap were giving, Gary chose to wander about the museum.
While passing an electronics display Gary came upon a lightning show that was part of a demonstration of electro-magnetism, electricity, and static electricity. That’s when every- thing went absolutely haywire! Due to some shorted circuits and a spilled soft drink, an electrical surge built up in the main conductor beams and began to discharge violent Bolts of energy, causing a panic. Before Gary could stop to think he rushed over to save a little girl from some falling live-wires. The wires hit Gary full force and shot him through with an almost uncountable number of volts. As he jerked and shuddered one of the lines on him flew free and hit a generator. The resulting explosion blew Gary off his feet.
The Golden Dragon and Coldsnap were on the scene almost in time to see the blast. As they searched the wreckage for Gary’s body they came upon a glowing Manifestation of Electro- magnetic energy combined with Static Electricity. Before they could speak however Gary reformed himself into his normal self and promptly passed out. Later Gary tested the extent of his Powers and at the Golden Dragon’s suggestion, devised a superhero identity of his own. And from then on he operated alongside the Force of Nature as Cyberbolt.

Powers:

As Cyberbolt Gary has the ability to generate fields of electromagnetic energy as well as bursts of static electricity that can stun any opponent. Cyberbolt’s power also alters his appearance to that of a humanoid of crackling electrical energy. Cyberbolt can become completely immaterial, Travel at speeds far faster than light. Tele-port himself to any place on the globe, transfer energy from one source to another and absorb any kind of energy and use it to boost his own power. Cyberbolt can also use his electromagnetic powers to enable him to fly in his civilian form. (This saves him a bundle in commuting expenses!)
