The Days After

Greetings fellow 81'ers..as you know I've been updating this site with pictures from our great weekend! Some of the things we did still make me laugh! I've moved the Reunion report to another page to avoid clutter...You can read it by pressing this button...

Letters are still flowing in...Noreen has promised me pictures and has not followed through with that promise....I want everyone to flame her and fill her e-mail box with hate-mail...No!! Just kidding!! She always says I give her a hard time...but who loves ya Nor? Hu?....That's right! Kenny does!!! Now hurrry up woman!!! Thanks to Laurena for her digital photos, they will be in Picture Gallery 4.

'Thank Yous'!

Thanks are in order to Kara and Pat for being the driving force behind the '81 Reunion (2001) I know I couldn't have done it. Bill Sadler for the incredible job of being MC again...no one could have topped the job you did at the 10 year reunion...except you! You did it again! Betty-Lou and Rob Brown...all the extras you guys did for the Supper and the Reunion are immeasurable. Meichelle, Rhonda, Joe, Marianne, Kindy and evryone else who took the time to keep this ship on course...thank you.

When I was trying to find someone to run our bar, I was told by two service clubs that it would be too hard to make any money running a bar for 20 year reunions because the crowds were mellower than 10 year reunion crowds. Gary Bjarnason of the Lion's club said that they would run the bar but they wanted to be guaranteed $100 dollars profit. They also said they might need help in paying for the mix as well as the liquor taxes. I said that I would personally pay any ser-charges. By 11:30 the bar was still busy, BJ told me to forget about any ser-charges because in his words, "You guys can drink!" BJ told me today that they really enjoyed watching us have a good time. "You guys have a really good program...it was fun!" So we got that going for us.

E-Mails from your fellow 81er's:

AWESOME, Kenny ... I sure wish we could've been there! I had a great time looking at all of the photos! It would have been grand to see everyone! Thanks for doing such great follow-up, and making possible for me to "be there" in my mind at least! Have a great one, and hope to see you next time we're in town! -Pam

Hey Ken, I just read through your updates and checked out the pictures. Great job! You said it well when you said you felt lucky to have graduated with this bunch. What a blast we all had. We drove 9 hours home today and I'm totally exhausted, but I mustered up the energy to check the website anyway. I'm glad I did. You were very good about thanking everyone, but what about you? You did an awesome job of this maintaining this website and I look forward to checking out what's coming. The Trivia game was fun, and your story about the comp. sci. test was pretty hilarious. Well done, Ken. We'll keep in touch. I'm going to bed!!!!! -Sharri (domenshar@hotmail.com)

Hi Ken, first off - great work on the website!!!! I just viewed the pictures and it sure looked great. Thanks for putting peoples full names below otherwise I wouldn't have had a clue who some of those people were. Bummed that I missed it but Kara said it might be only a 5 year wait to catch up again so .... well...I'll try and be in North America then! Cheers,

-Lawrence Redfern (lawrence_redfern@hotmail.com)

Hi Kara, Yes it was fuunnnntastic!! Thanks again for doing such a great job! Bye for now, -Laurena

Well I just wanted to thank everyone who helped put on one of the best parties that I have ever been to. It was great to see so many people that I have not seen in way to many years. "Good Times and Good Memories" Thanks, - Ken Stewart

Hey Ken *Kudos to the organizers, you did a bang up job and made the reunion a monster success, (Kara, Ken, Pat, etc. . . . even Kindy!) *The web site is a blast, keep it going. *It was great to mix with old friends and 'remember when'. *I gotta say this, as the old fart of the group (39 this summer), I was really impressed on how remarkably well preserved we are. Everyone looked great! *I was especially jazzed to catch up with Ken Stewart and his wife. *Billy, you slay me you really do! Consider doing it again huh? *Maybe we could do golf next time? -Pete simon

Great time, great friends and lots of great laughs. Ken, Kara, Billy, Kindy (ya, even you), Betty-Lou and Pat (sorry if I missed someone) I want to thank you for putting together a terrific reunion. Ken (or is it Luke now!), great job on the web site. Thanks again. -Rob Testani

Ken: Great job on the site the pictures are nice to look at and the comments are surprisingly funny. I guess Bill must not have anything to do with them. -Gordon Beach

Yeee-ha!! Kara is making plans to have a 25 year reunion. 2006 May Long Weekend! Spread the word...If anyone has any good ideas please let us know! There are only a few Reunion Annuals left! $10.00 to Kara at Box 673, Golden B.C., V0A 1H0 and she will send it to you Toot Sweet!

As you can see I've switched the geocities web site from 'scarhawk' (which was my personal site) to ca.oocities.com/goldengrad81/ for better name recognition...I was surprised to findthat the name 'gssgrad81' was already taken...Drat! I wonder who that is? Probably a big city grad class...Please bookmark this site because I will try to keep it maintained and running until the 25th Reunion. (Sites that are not managed after a few months will be deleted by the server) Boo-YaaHHH!!! There was no reason to say that...I just wanted to.

The Redshift server will only allow 2MB of space and we are out of space already so the Picture Gallery link below will connect you to our Yahoo-Geocities site...it has a 5Mb capacity so I can use high rez images and lots of them!

So check out the pictures already...New pictures will be added within the next week...

Until then..'81 Forever!

Place the curser on Kara and watch her go!
