Judging
The nomination process: Once the deadline has passed, no more entries will be accepted. All of the entries will first be judged by the judges. (See the rules page for details on judges and their own fanfics) After the process is compete, the final nominees will be chosen for each category. Each category will have up 3 nominees, unless there isn't that many entries in that category. The nominees will be contacted by email, but a list will be posted here as well and at the A Sailor Moon Romance Discussion Board. Once the nominees are finalized, the judges will then decide on a single winner in each category. The winners will also be posted on the site once chosen. As for the People's Choice Awards, after the nominees are selected by the judges, the voting booths will be placed on the website for you the people to vote on. This will be open for exactly two weeks from the day the voting booth opens, and the nominee with the most votes obviously wins the People's Choice Award.

The judging process:
However many judges this fanfic contest ends up with, each will be in charge of judging in specific categories during the nomination process. These judges may choose what category(s) they would like to judge for, except for those where their own fanfics are entered. I figure this because there are judges who are better at a certain subject (i.e. romance fanfics or original characters) than they are at others, myself included. But, during the final judging, the judges will be judging in all categories, except for those where their own fanfics are nominated.

So, you would like to judge:
Judging for this fanfic contest is no easy matter. You must be willing to judge the numbers of fanfics that enter this contest, first of all. Also, you must be willing to judge each of the entries based on the quality of the work, and be as unbiased as you can. I prefer either fanfic authors or fanfic reviewers and critics since they tend to know the work better. But you can be just a person who is addicted to fanfiction period and be just as good of a judge as any. If you would like to be a judge for this awards contest, contact me directly at viperinferno@hotmail.com and I will be happy to add you to the list. But, I do ask that you keep your role as a judge completely anonymous, at least until after the winners have been decided. This will help you as the judge in being unbiased in your nominations. I would gladly accept the help from anyone who wants to be one. ^_~ |
