The first poodle appeared in our house at the end of May in 1993. It happened unexpectedly.

Our friends told us about that nice furniture store in the suburb of Moscow, and my husband and I went there to look around. At that time, it was very difficult to buy furniture in Moscow's stores.

When we got to the parking lot I saw a woman, and she held a golden-red nubbin in her hands. Before I saw poodles that were black, or white, or brown. But I have never seen a color like this! I was standing there charmed by that puppy. Then my husband and I got closer to the lady and started talking. We found out that she had three more puppies in her car. One of them was very small, the darkest of all four puppies, and his snout and feet were not shaved. When I took him on my hands he cuddled up and looked at me in such a way that I could not help taking him home.

So, suddenly in our house appeared Artur Korado-at home Toshka.

Artur brought joy and happiness into our home, he changed our life. Noble, sophisticated, elegant, with "gold" coat, he is still like that.  He always took first or second at shows.  Back in 1994-1995 there were 6-13 small apricot poodles, or even more.

We met a lot of good people who helped us train and prepare Artur for shows.

Special thanks to Masha and Michael Shargorodski. They were the first teachers and guides in this wonderland called POODLE. They introduced us to Galina Alekseeva who got Toshka ready for shows so many times.

Thank you so much for all your help. It is your achievement too, that Artur so often won at the dog shows . It is a pity that Masha and Michael do not get chances to come to shows that often any more.

Later I met Lena Starchak, the owner of Artur’s father-Korado Fler Oranzh . Lena and I shared the joy of Artur’s achievements, and Lena’s favorite silver dwarf dog Serebrjany Vek Antip. This friendship helped me to improve my skills as a groomer and handler.

In 1995 my husband and I went to Minsk, Belarus at the dog show. There I saw standard apricot poodle Charis z Derze for the first time. He was a beautiful, strong, and with beautiful red-apricot coat male. Than we decided to get the same dog.

1996 on October, 21st  at Galina and Anatoly Zuk in Minsk, Belarus were born puppies, among whom there was one apricot male. I got one in 1996 from Galina and Anatoly Zuk. Before New Year’s Eve 1997, I went to get him -our Tarzan-Zaps Dutchman Ruzhovy Svitanok.

Naughty, hooligan, but at the same time loving and loyal, fearless and emotional, he was always ready to defend his masters, he loved children, puppies, and shows. He taught us to love life and to be confident. That is why we still can not believe that he is not with us anymore. He died when he was 5, at the age of maturity and beauty.

His puppies carry Tarzan’s character, style, and beauty. It is just sad that there is not so many of them. Thank you for everything, Tarzan, and we are really sorry that we could not save you.

Samson – he won my heart when he was 5 months old. Beautiful head, exterior, and joyful character were so charming! But at home he was a trouble maker and a scamp, was not afraid of anything and anybody. In spite of his small size he was trying to be a leader among all other dogs that we had. He loved dog shows and he got offended when we did not take him there.

Kompliment Casanova iz Volzhskoy Serenady - Timur appeared in our house two weeks after Tarzan died. Funny, lanky, clumsy as a bear, with thick feet, with a hooked nose. He has absolutely different  character than Tarzan’s.

At home – melancholic, peaceful, he liked to lay or play “quiet” games. He loved to look in the mirror enjoying his appearance. At shows he turned into an energetic and stylish poodle. He likes to be shown at public.

Legenda iz Volzhskoy Serenady - Lesja–Tarzan’s granddaughter. By her habits she reminds us of Tarzan.

Her career is at the beginning, and we hope that she will not give way to her grandfather.
