He got into the radio business by 1984 and worked as a DJ for a while but had a hard time finding jobs as he kept getting fired, causing him to work as a pizza delivery boy for a while in 1993. He became station manager of KACL in 1998. He didn't unpack his boxes for 4 years after this because he thought he'd get fired if he did. Kenny had to fire Frasier after Frasier refused to read some on-air promos, but admitted he admired Frasier for standing to his principles and rehired him - causing the owners to sack Kenny. This led to all of KACL being fired - except Kenny, who was rehired. He was married with at least 2 kids at the time and in 1999 his wife gave birth to their youngest children, a pair of twins.

Kenny got to know Frasier and Roz quite well, but his marriage started to suffer and after a bad patch in 2001 he made a date with another woman, Janice! He came to his senses and broke it off before his wife found out, but their problems continued and in 2002 Kenny and his wife separated, eventually divorcing in 2003. In 2004 Kenny had to fill in for Frasier on his show, and liked being a DJ again that he quite his job as station manager to become a DJ again.

Kenny is a plump man who seems to have a red face a lot of the time!!! Kenny is nervous of being fired by various station owners but will stand up to them for his co-workers' sakes if need be. The needs of his co-workers are important to him and he is always trying to help them improve their shows. He is friendly with Frasier, calling him "Doc" like Bulldog does, and wasn't mad at Frasier when Frasier cost him his job (he was rehired).

Kenny is a fairly laid back character much of the time. The part of the job he hates the most is being a "hard ass" and when he tries to be strict it never usually works. Nevertheless the people at KACL do not try and take advantage of this (most of the time). Kenny is also a bit superstitious - eg his attitude towards his boxes. He can get mad though, such as when he thought his wife might be cheating on him. Kenny is cheerful most of the time though, trying to do his best at work and getting the job done.
