In 1995 Noel was elected leader of KACL staff protesting about Kate Costas (only he and Roz stood for leader) but was soon replaced by Frasier. Noel helped out with the production of Frasier Crane's Nightmare Inn in 1997. He was also one of the few employees at KACL who was retained after the station became a salsa rather than a talk station in 1998.

Noel loves Star Trek - a lot. He seems to be fluent in Klingon, as in 2002 he taught Frasier how to say a speech in Klingon, although Frasier thought it was Hebrew.....

Noel appears to be your typical nerd. He lives with his mother and has little luck with the ladies. He is obsessed with Star Trek and has attended many conventions. He has the autographs of all the Star Trek captains, although William Shatner has put a restraining order on Noel preventing him from going within 500 feet of him. Noel has a picture of Captain Kirk on his desk and often gives out Vulcan salutes. He's also trying to write an English - Klingon dictionary and likes to translate Karaoke songs into Klingon.

Noel is deeply in love with Roz and really wants to be her boyfriend. Although she doesn't fancy him, he keeps trying by giving her presents or auctioning to help her behind the scenes of the Frasier Crane Show. He suffers from night-blindness and can also faint at will.
