The Snapping of a New-Borns' Neck
Intolerance is put forth as a Gorean virtue. They are not tolerant of submissive men and dominant women. Their view is that such abominations should be either enslaved or exterminated. Preferably the latter, because who would want to keep such creatures? The same has been said of homosexuals and lesbians. There has been discussion about the involuntary euthanasia of those who are less than perfect. The snapping of a new-born’s neck if they are in anyway handicapped. They have discussed the drain that the vulnerable are upon the resources of the strong. e.g. their taxes should not be used for disabled children. There is a belief that the strong should rule, and the weak be suppressed, because “People should not be treated the same, because people are not the same.” Some of the essays produced by Gorean Lifestylers have been compared to Hitler’s Mein Kampf
Most of the notions,
indeed one might say “rules” concerning what is correct conduct from Goreans
does not come from the books at all,
but from the community of people who interact with each other online via the
“Taverns”. The term Gorean has become between themselves to be viewed as something
good and worthy. Such a view is hard to reconcile with some of their attitudes
towards minority groups and those in our society who are disadvantaged. Discussions
concerning involuntary euthanasia and the supremacy of the strong over the
weak are not all that frequent, and perhaps if they were fewer would be proud
to call themselves Gorean. The never-ending discussions and don’t forget this
is not role-play *wink* What is frequent however are discussions concerning
the Master/slave relationship. This, although all of them will firmly say
that this is the least important part of being Gorean. They debate endlessly
about this and say the same things over and over and over again. Much of it
concerns the online role-play, e.g.
“Can any slave
tell this girl how to perform the bazi tea ceremony, and does a girl use red
rocks or red sugar?”
“This girl is struggling with one aspect of her slavery. Master does not allow other girls to serve Him when ani is in channel, but ani cannot help her feelings of jealousy when she is not in channel and as Master works odd hours ani cannot always be there to serve Him. This girl knows that some kajira have to get used to their chain sisters but that is different a girl thinks. A girl thinks if it is another slave collared to Master then a girl can come to love her sister, but if it is a girl who a girl knows is deliberately trying to hurt ani by serving her Master when ani is not there, this one feels it is not right.”
“Can anyone give goodie{BAD} some tips concerning the whip dance, a girl is learning to please her Master.”
Yes, they really do type out long descriptions of themselves dancing, as well as the long seemingly endless descriptions of themselves serving their Masters with Gorean food and drinks. Slaves can get into trouble if they mix up the steps of a dance just as much as she may if she mixes up Paga and Sul Paga, or if they omit to hold the Master’s drink against their breast for “Three beats of a slaves heart.” Such errors are likely to get her whipped in channel. The offended Master will type how he is tying the slave to the whipping post and punishing her. It is stated that many girls actually will then really whip themselves with the severity that the Master types, but I doubt this would be possible because the descriptions of some of the whippings in the Gorean novels would place one in need of treatment for shock.
