INFERNAL METHOD

Pete Peric (guitar); Lee Glanzmann (bass); Grahame Goode (drums); Joss Separovic (vocals); Astennu (guitar)

Formed from the ashes of Sydney death metal bands Automation and Deadspawn, Infernal Method was the brainchild of Peric who had begun writing songs for the band as long ago as 1997. With a brisk and infectious melodic death metal style ala At the Gates, Infernal Method’s first performance was at Metal for the Brain 2001 when they played as Deadspawn, who had effectively split some weeks before. Guitarist Aaron Bilbija left to join Psi.Kore and was replaced by that band's former guitarist, Andrew Lilley. Lee Ganzmann replaced Michael Kordek in early 2002 and Jonah Weingarten joined around the same time. Weingarten was sacked after the band's first official gig, by which time Joss Separovic had joined as vocalist, taking over from Shane Thompson. Infernal Method played live solidly throughout 2002, developing a fearsome reputation as a solid and consistent live act. At the end of that year the band began working on a full-length recording amidst some doubt over Separovic's continuing membership of the band, although it would appear that this has now been resolved and Infernal Method is embarking on live shows throughout the east coast once again. In May 2003, Lilley was replaced by former Lord Kaos and Dimmu Borgir guitarist Astennu.
