AUTOMATION

Graham Goode (drums); Paul Neville (guitar, vocals); Michael Kordek (guitar); Brad Dickson (bass)

Formed in mid 1997 by one-time Neophobia drummer Goode and three quarters of the former Chaotic Realm/Impaludism line up, Automation played some of the heaviest, most furious blasting yet highly original death metal currently in circulation. With an enormous rhythm section, monstrous vocals and well-structured guitar solos, along with clever lyrical sense and brilliant songs, Automation make the sort of noise thrown up by the darkest extremities of Florida, but with a surprising amount of originality and diversity, giving them a peculiarly unique style. The band developed a solid following, mainly due to the intensity and consistency of live performances, and My Gutter Child is excellent. Sometime after the EP's release, Dickson left the band and Automation disappeared from the scene. Goode is now a member of Infernal Method and after a brief stint with that band Kordek is now with Daysend.
