The club have played at Intermediate level since relegation 2 years ago. The club have won the Mid Intermediate final 2 years in a row and were contesting for the hat trick on Saturday the 13 th October 2001. However they surrendered the Mid Final title by losing to Moyne Templetuohy.

The team lost the quarter final by one point to Galtee Rovers on November 25th in Cashel. It was a close game Bansha only scoring 2 points in the first half but Gortnahoe scored just one point in the second half and let this very physical game slip away.

The Club witnessed a major achievement this year when the U 16 Team won both a Football and Hurling County Final. This is rare for any club. On Saturday Oct 20th at Drombane the club defeated Roscrea by one goal. The score was Gortnahoe Glengoole 1-14 Roscrea 2-8.
