The Song Of The Weary Traveller

Alone I walk through stormy skies
And wonder where the light shines
For I can see no light nor can I
Turn back and start over

Before there was another travelling
We took separate paths and now I cry
I have only the help I can take in
But vain, instead of my own kind

Tormented, weary and stained I trek
On through the cold hard times with
Naught but the love of a candle
At least I have that slight piece, comforting

The candle that left shines and
Crosses my path naught but very
Briefly and I hurt each time it does so
The love of the one is but

Enough to sustain my needs. It shall
Have to support us it's own and
Should it die with naught but one match
I shall die alongside it

Alone

As I sit here alone
I'm missing you
As I look to the sky
I can almost see you
As I think of my pain
I can feel yours too
As I call out your name
You think of me too
As I read all your letters
My heart yearns for you
As I respond to each one
They say "I love you"
