The
winner of Survivor 3: Rancho Alamitos emerged out of 4th period
Calculus as Van, the 17 year old JSA Historian (we did vote for you,
remember that) from Garden Grove, CA won a jury vote of 4-3.
This was enough votes to beat out May, the 17 year old NHS Secretary
from Stanton, CA, only displaying how indecisive this jury was over
the two Survivors that outwitted, outplayed and outlasted the others
all the way to the top.
The last few weeks have revealed the Final 2's master plan to get to
the top--and its evident that it worked out for them. An alliance
was reached between the two since they first voted off Jason, an
alliance that may have not existed without being placed on the same
tribe. May has tactfully eliminated every single player each round
post merge with the exception of purposely losing the last immunity
(she knew she couldn't win either)--so as to avoid making the
decision as to who she would take to the Final 2. May also got
people to vote with her some rounds, only to learn these very same
people tried to vote her off later--but by then it was too late to
do anything.
Van, on the other hand, managed to stay a bit more under the radar
out of this twosome. She did not start winning challenges until most
of the guys were voted off and luckily had a few close
calls--racking up the second most votes this season, behind Vi. She
also conspired with Eli a few rounds just to assure they wouldn't
vote for one another in any Tribal Council. Once Eli was voted
off--the damage had been done and he repaid Van by voting for May in
the final jury vote for this supposed act of betrayal.
The jury comments seem to show that this game could have gone either
way. The girls most recently voted off seemed to band together to
vote, as well as the first two guys booted after the
merge--perhaps blaming May for the boot order. Congratulations to
Van for a job well done (Got a question about the game? Ask me)!

Vi felt upset over
what she may have misconstrued as an alliance with May. To find
out that she had been conspiring with Van all along only gave
her more reason to vote against May. She would change her vote
if she could, but now the game is done and determined with. |
Keli felt a bit
alienated by the others, but especially noticed it more once the
penny challenge game, where May was one of the first to target
her and eventually get her out of that challenge. |
Despite rumors
that there was indeed a Korean alliance with M-A-I in on it,
this vote doesn't show this. Inho thinks that Van has
strategized well to get to her position in the game. |
David T. knew very
well voting against your Co-ed date could be disastrous so he
helped her get another vote. Plus, it seems as though Van's
answer to the Why do you love Davidholicism was much more
thorough. |

Eli is still
bitter about Van not following "the plan" he had in store for
the others. He voted differently out of anger for in a sense,
being betrayed. |
Arnold has
remained in close contact with May throughout the entire game,
and it seemed as though this informal alliance carried over onto
the jury. |
He very well knew
that the girls' were gunning for him, but in the end, it seemed
that May did less damage than Van, thereby guaranteeing May a
vote. |

Congratulations to
Van... She deserves it. I'm happy that we accomplished our
goal of making it to the final 2. Van, you were a great
partner in crime! Haha... and thanks to everyone who voted
for me... it really means a lot! and to the others... no
comment. |

We
all knew from the start that only one can win outta
14... I'd hafta say the worse part was having to vote peepo
out each time.. hopefully everyone had a good experience
from the game... yes, a game, it was JESS A GAME, minus the drama... btw, you guys let a NEWBIE win. |
