576. Timothy PHELPS * ^{(223) (224)} was born on 1 Nov 1663 in Windsor, Hartford Co., CT. He died in Hebron, Tolland Co., CT. Timothy and Martha lived in Windsor, Connecticut, until 1690 when they relocated to Hebron with his younger, unmarried brother, Nathaniel, about 1690. There they erected a log house on the farm that was eventually owned by Frederick P. Bissell, one mile south of Hebron Green. They were some of the first settlers and Timothy served as selectmen after the town was incorporated in 1708.
He was married to Martha CROW * on 4 Nov 1686.

577. Martha CROW *. Martha was the daughter of Christopher and Mary Crow. The name is sometimes spelled Crowe. Children were:

i. Martha PHELPS was born on 29 Oct 1690 in Hebron, Tolland Co., CT.
ii. Timothy PHELPS was born on 29 Jan 1692 in Hebron, Tolland Co., CT. He died on 28 Sep 1768 in Hebron, Tolland Co., CT. Timothy married 29 July 1714, Hannah Calkins. They had 8 children between 1715 and 1731.

iv. Cornelius PHELPS was born about 1698 in Hebron, Tolland Co., CT. He died on 15 Aug 1760 in Hebron, Tolland Co., CT. Cornelius married 18 January 1721, Margaret Dewey (b.11 December 1701, d. Hebron, CT., daughter of Nathaniel and Margaret (Burrows) Dewey; m. recorded in Lebanon, CT). They had 10 children between 1722 and 1743.
v. Charles PHELPS was born on 26 Jul 1702 in Hebron, Tolland Co., CT. Charles married 17 February 1726, Hepzibah Stiles (b.Boxford, ).
vi. Ashbel PHELPS was born about 1704 in Hebron, Tolland Co., CT. Ashbel married Ann Pinney.
vii. Hannah PHELPS was born about 1706 in Hebron, Tolland Co., CT. Hannah married 29 January 1725, Benjamine Smith, of Springfield, MA.
