2576. Robert MOULTON * was born before 1629 in England. He died in 1655 in Salem Village, MA. Source records do not indicate who Robert's wife was although it shows two children, Robert and Dorothy. He came to America in 1629 and was a shipbuilder in Salem. He was Freeman, 18 May 1631. He lived in Charlestown from 1630 to 1635 at a place called "Moulton's Point". It was at this place the Britsh landed enroute to the Battle of Bunker hill. His will, dated in Salem 20 Feb 1654/5, mentions his daughter Dorothy Edwards and the executor was son Robert. Also mentioned is grandson Robert, who was not yet of age, Goodwife Buffum and Joseph Buffum (relationship not shown). Witnesses were George Gardner, Henry Phelps, and Nich. Phelpess. The will was probated 26 Jun 1655. Children were:
