SEVENTH GENERATION on Glen's Father's side
NOTEFulton County New York was created from the northern half of Montgomery County in 1838.
Ezra was born on 7 November 1750 in Leicester, Worcester County, Massachusetts and died on 8 November 1833 in Northville, Montgomery (see Note above) County, New York, and was buried there in the Gifford Valley Cemetery (also known as Johnny Cake Hollow Cemetery which is located accross the Sacandanga River from Northville)... He died one day after his 83rd birthday and was buried next to his wife Lucy and son Isaac (gravesite visited by researcher, 24 June 1994).
Ezra served from Spencer, Massachusetts, in the Revolutionary War as a Corporal in Capt. Josiah White's Company, Col. Benjamin Flagg's Division, Col. Samuel Denny's Regiment (Worcester County)... He served 5 days, marching on 21 August 1777 to Hadley in response to an alarm... He was discharged 23 August and given 2 days travel home time (20 mi per day allowance)... On 27 September 1777, he served for one month in Capt. David Prouty's Company, Maj. Asa Baldwins Division, Col. Samuel
Denny's (Worchester County) Regiment... This time they marched to reinforce the Northern Army and was discharged 18 October 1777 and given 8 days travel home time (157 mi).
He was one of the first settlers of Broadalbin, New York, and possibly the second settler after William Chalmers who settled on what was known as the Dyer Thompson farm in 1789... He secured a perpetual lease of 100 acres of land from Daniel Campbell of Schenectady, Septtember 7, 1792... The parcel was located on Lot No 5 in the subdivision of Lot No 4, in the 21st Allotment of the Kayaderosseros, allias Queensbora Patent... It is believed the land was near the Sacandaga River and most of it was lost when the Sacandaga Reservoir project was completed in the 1920's.
He married Lucy WILSON on 30 August 1774 in Spencer, Massachusetts, in a double ceremony with his sister Sarah and Dr. Jabez Lamb... They left Spencer sometime after 1786 when their son Isaac was born and before 1789 when Ezra Jr. was born in Jefferson County, New York.
Lucy was born on 21 June 1750 in Leicester, Worcester County, Massachusetts... She died on 6 December 1841 in Northville, Fulton County, New York, at age 91 years, 1 month, and 13 days... She was buried in Gifford Valley Cemetery, Northville (also known as Johnny Cake Hollow Cemetery, located accross the Sacandanga River from Northville), next to her husband Ezra Willson Sr., and son Isaac (gravesite visited on 24 June 1994).
NOTEWhether it was significant or not, ancestral records begin appearing with only one "L" in the surname "Wilson" after Ezra and Lucy married.

Joel was born on 3 April 1779 in Spencer, Worcester County, Massachusetts... He died on 9 October 1838 in Northampton, Fulton County, New York... Intestate papers were filed for Joel, a resident of Northampton TWP, by his wife Patty (Martha) and Lodawick Willson in the Village of Johnstown, New York, 14 February 1839... Fulton County Surrogate
Court papers show that Joel died 9 October 1838, intestate, and was a resident of Northampton, Fulton County, New York... He left no will, left $150.00, left his widow Patty Wilson and children, Lodwich, Reuben, Hannah, Edward, Eliza, Estes, Ananias D., John C., each under the age of 21.

Sarah was born on 3 September 1781 in Spencer, Worcester
County, Massachusetts...(68) She died on 1 November 1840 in Penfield, Monroe County, New York, and was buried there.

Sibel was born on 2 November 1783 in Spencer, Worcester County, Massachusetts and died on 27 April 1863 in Northville, Fulton County, New York... She was buried in the Main Street Cemetery of Northville.

Isaac was born on 15 June 1786 in Spencer, Worcester County, Massachusetts and died 17 September 1839 in Northville, Fulton County, New York... He was buried in the Gifford Valley Cemetery (also known as Johnny Cake Hollow Cemetery, located accross the Sacandanga River from Northville)... Isaac died at age 51 and is buried next to his parents (researcher visited gravesite 24 June 1994)... A petition filed in Fulton County Surrogate Court by Benjamine Gifford states Isaac died intestate and was a resident of Northampton [LDS Lib MF#0591901]... A handwritten account by an unknown author shows the content of this petition, to wit: "Fulton County New York Surrogate Court: Isaac Wilson, Intestate... Benjamine Gifford of the town of Northampton, Fulton Co., NY, petitioner. That
Isaac Wilson died intestate on or abt. Sept. 27, 1839 & was a resident of said town. Left no will, no widow, no father. He left a mother Lucy Wilson, left sisters & brothers. Rubin Wilson residing in Niagara Co., Ezra Wilson residing in Alexander, Jefferson Co., Sarah Gifford & John her husband, Monroe Co., Sibel Gifford & Benj. her husband, Fulton Co., Mary Tomlinson & her husband, Fulton Co., deceased sister Elizabeth Belcher died and left 2 children, Joseph & Anna Belcher, who reside in Monroe & Lewis Co., brother Joel Wilson who is dead and left him children, Lodwich, Rubin, John, Edward, Mary, Hannah & Eliza, all minors, heirs at law & next of kin." Ezra Jr. was born on 1 April 1789 in Alexander, Jefferson County, New
York... He died after 1841 in Jefferson County... The federal Census of 1830 places him and his family in Northampton TWP, Montgomery County, New York... By 17 September 1839 they were living in Alexander, Jefferson County, New York, and were there when his brother Joel's probate was read... The 1840 Census places him there when in November he sold property in Fulton County, with his wife Edith signing in agreement to the sale.
viii. Mary "Polly" WILSON
Mary was born on 4 April 1792 in Jefferson or Montgomery (see note above) County, New York... She died on 21 June 1885 in Northville, Fulton County, New York,(94)
and was buried there.
