This is Big Nicco. His official AKC registered name is Golden Nicco of Newington. Nicco was born on October 8th, 1991. His white face shows his age. Even so, he still has a lot of puppy in him.
Nicco is our protector. He keeps a watch over us day and night. He lets us know when someone rings the doorbell or just comes to the front door. He's our official house greeter.
Nicco came to us just before Christmas of 1991. We picked him out of a litter of 8 puppies from a family in Ashburn, Virginia. He was such a good puppy. It only took 3 days for him to learn the potty rules. He loves to have his ears scratched and will shake hands with you every chance he gets. Nicco loves everyone. His favorite thing to do is chew on tennis balls. He loves to swim and he loves to go for rides in the car. The only thing Nicco doesn't like is thunderstorms. He can tell when a storm is coming 30 minutes before it gets here.
Nicco has been such a good fellow at making each new addition welcome in our home. Size is definitely not a factor in the pecking order either. As big as this guy is, he is not the alpha dog in the house. He takes a back seat to everyone. He just loves to be a part of the family.
