The 17th U.S. Regiment is composed of Kenner High School students, and is the largest unit at the event. Currently, the Regiment is led by Geoff Audas. This unit also possesses a regimental "color" (the eagle above is a close-up of our flag). The 17th was chosen for re-creation because of its involvement in the battle of Frenchtown, and the subsequent massacre. Even today, students involved in the unit still tell their comrades to "Remember the Raisin!"
