During 1994, Wet Wet Wet released
their smash hit single, Love
Is All Around from the Four Weddings and a Funeral soundtrack. The single very quickly raced up the
Australian music charts and peaked at the number one spot for
many weeks. Subsequentially, the Wets were awarded the Coca Cola
Take 40 Australia award for the "Best International Chart Single Performance".
At the time, the band were in
the South of France putting the final touches on their "Picture This"
album, however they appeared live via satellite to receive their
award and promised us a tour soon. The unexpected success of
the single prompted the Wets to come to Australia for a brief
promo tour....
