Congratulations to everyone who participated - you all did such a good job, it was really hard to pick the winners! I wish everyone could get a prize, because you all deserve it!
First of all, I'd like to take a moment and thank all the hard-working people who helped make this show possible. Kristin Ball was a the steadfast Secretary of Show who made sure that each of your entries ended up in the right places. Emily Hoffman and my self worked hard to create the wonderful prizes the lucky winners get to take home. Together, with Sloane Eljay and Carolyn Bell, we all set about to tally and judge the entries, and believe me, that's no easy task!
The judging criteria was the same as last time, the Three C's - Competence 45%, Creativity 45%, and Clarity 10%. Competence is about how well the photo was executed, and your display of technical merit. Creativity is about the thought you put into your picture, the overall set up, and the artist expression. And Clarity is pretty straight forward - we have to see it's a horse! For the most part, these pictures just keep getting better and better with every show!
Judging is definitely hard work, so remember to give our judges a hand. They had to sort through the 400 entries and narrow it down to JUST ONE! Of course, there is always a picture or two who stand out in the herd, and those horses appear here on these pages. Here you will find the winner for each seperate class. But that's not all - don't forget to check out who our Champions are!
