William Lewis & Ollie Mae's Family

This one of Daddy & Mother by the ocean was taken in 1948, when they made a trip to Monterey, California by the 17 mile Pacific Coast.  I like this picture because Daddy has his arm around Mother and they both look happy.

Made around 1950 with Mae & William standing in front of Harry's 1947 Plymouth. The truck shed in the background and the old chicken house is on the right.

Harry, Glenn, Lee Neil, Edith, Brenda (Fred's Daughter) and Mae Bowers. Photo was around 1945. Behind them is the 1-1/2 Ton Ford truck, green in color, I think, with a wooden fence around three sides of the bed of the truck.

Mae Bowers, Glenn Bowers, Lee Neil Bowers and William Bowers. This picture was taken in Tulsa, Ok  in 1953 and that is Truman's 1949 Ford they are standing in front of.

Mother wrote on the back of this picture, "We tried to make it look like I was whipping Glenn.  He tried to look like he was crying, but all he could do was shut his eyes and open his mouth."  Then on the front  she has written "Tough looker - isn't he."

Front steps of our house on Central Avenue, Batesville, Arkansas. Taken in late 1943 or early 1944. Back row: Mamma, Harry, Daddy holding Glenn. Front Row: Lee Neil and Edith.
